10 hilariously funny hotel design fails that are too bizarre to make up
Sometimes, interior design choices make you very confused.
I think we’ve all seen our fair share of confusing design choices. Some of them are misleading while others make it so difficult to even function productively. Regardless, they are all hilarious. Please enjoy this collection of hotel design fails.
1) Non-smoking ashtray
How do you make sure that your guests know without a shadow of a doubt that they are not supposed to smoke in the room?
You provide them with an ashtray!
2) Privacy is for suckers
I hope nobody was in this room with a roommate they didn’t know that well. You’d think the hotel would at least provide curtains for this room or something
3) Drapes
Nothing is better than drawing your drapes in the morning to let in some sunlight…oh wait. Why is there a wall here!?
4) Living room for ninjas only.
In all seriousness, how is anyone supposed to get up there? I feel like you might need like 3 years of parkour training to make use of this space. Maybe they can add a ladder?
5) Staircase to nowhere
Knowing myself, I would be the poor sucker to climb these stairs just to smack my nose into that wall. What is the point of this? To appear more “post-modern” and trendy?
6) Carpeting
Never let it be said that carpeting is not important. These stairs are practically invisible! It feels like this should be a safety hazard.
7) Abbreviations
Please proofread your abbreviations. It’s not always obvious that “ASS” stands for assistance. They even have the space to write it all out!
8) Good luck!
My room is 207. Should I turn right or left? Is it supposed to be this confusing?
9) Hungry?
Unfortunately, reaching your snacks might be rather difficult in this room. I think this fridge configuration is part of an elaborate scheme to force you to order room service.
10) In case your roommate is a dwarf.
Actually, only one of these worked. Guess which one…yep it was the bottom one. Truly unfortunate for whoever was bunking in this room.
