Blogger shares 10 great uses for biscuit dough that we’d never considered before

A lot of people absolutely love to cook, and it’s not hard to see why. Experimenting in the kitchen with all sorts of ingredients and ending with a tasty dish, there are certainly a lot more boring things in the world. While some people swear by following recipes to the letter, you can definitely also learn some interesting things just by experimenting with food, and that’s exactly what this mom and food blogger has done.

She has come up with ten incredible uses for biscuit dough in the kitchen and they all look absolutely delicious. Without further ado, let’s hop into it.

1) Calzones

In for some great and tasty calzones? Luckily, the recipe is actually fairly easy. Flatten the biscuits so you have pockets, and then prepare your filling. In this particular video, the cook uses a combination of cheese and bacon crumbles, but you can use pretty much any combination you like here. Seal the pockets again, and bake according to the dough packaging instructions.

2) Monkey bread

This is an absolute winner if you’re in the mood for a quick snack, and it’s always popular with guests too. Cut the biscuits into quarters, and shake them with cinnamon sugar. Pour with butter and brown sugar, and bake for forty minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Full recipe over here.

3) Garlic knots

Another extremely tasty snack or appetizer, perfect for your Italian dishes. Cut the biscuit doughs in half, and roll them as if you were trying to make a thick pencil. Carefully make a knot, bake them in the oven and add some garlic butter and marinara as finishing touches.

4) Dumplings

Quickly need some dumplings for your chicken soup? Biscuit dough to the rescue. Cut every piece of dough into six or eight pieces, and flatten them with your fingers afterward. Toss them in the chicken soup until they’re cooked, et voila!

In a whole lot of casserole recipes, bread is required or you’ll have to go through plenty of steps to make your own dough. How about just using biscuit dough instead. Cut them into cubes and put them in your casserole, and don’t forget to fill the tray with meats such as sausages. Half an hour in the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit and you’ve got yourself a golden casserole.
