1. Abyssinian

These beautiful cats are quite the cuddlers! They can often be seen in Egyptian artwork and require little to no maintenance. They are highly athletic and love to love. They live for a VERY long time and are perfect for active families.

2. American Bobtail Shorthair

These “wild-looking” felines are confident and bold! They require very little maintenance and walk around like they own the place. They are very secure and confident in their demeanor, and as a result, have no issue coming in for a bit of cuddles and love. They also love to play and have fun!

3. Birman

These curious cats make our list as curious and lively cats who love to be around people. They were originally bred from the American Shorthair and Burmese, making a loyal cat who is secure enough to show some affection. They love being around people, so don’t leave them alone for too long!

These are some BIG cats! The Maine Coon comes in at 13 pounds for the ladies and 20 for the males, making them some of the biggest breeds around. They are super sweet as well as smart, meaning they know that the best way to live a happy and well-fed life is to give out copious cuddles.

6. Ragdoll

Another large cat on the list, Ragdolls are very laid-back cats that just float with the breeze. They aren’t super vocal and love to snuggle and lounge around all day. They can definitely gain weight with their lazy lifestyle, so make sure they stay active!

7. Scottish Fold

These alien-looking cats are adorable and mellow. They have special folded ears and big paws and legs, making them stand out visually. They love to cuddle and spend all day with you on the couch or in bed.

8. Siamese

This famous breed has that signature look we are all pretty familiar with. They love to express themselves and often do so vocally with meows and yowls. They are attention seekers and love to play and snuggle! They are also super athletic and smart, so keep them occupied and loved up or face the consequences!

9. Siberian

The Siberian is a unique breed in the sense that it isn’t clingy but still loves to love. They may or may not be at the door whenever you get home, but they never mind some snuggle time on the couch or bed when offered! They won’t often be under your feet.

10. Tonkinese

This breed is the perfect way to end our list! They are loving, joyful, and super smart! They do great with kids and are fine with guests visiting the house. They love to sit on anyone’s lap and play with the kid while you and the adults talk.
