The world of genetics certainly holds a ton of surprises, and every human is most definitely unique in their own way. Whether it’s in looks, personality or characteristics, no two humans are exactly the same.

That especially holds true for the following people, who have incredible genetics which gives them an absolutely unbelievable and stunning appearance.

An iris split in half

It’s often said that the eyes are the most beautiful parts of the human body, and you can’t argue that this is an incredibly special look. Some people have two different eye colors (such as David Bowie, for example) which is something that’s already quite unusual, but this steps it up even further with an iris that is split in half. The condition is called ‘heterochromia iridis’, and it results in this absolutely mesmerizing look.

Symmetrical hair whorls

Granted, this is a little bit more subtle, but absolutely remarkable nonetheless. A father posted this picture on Reddit of his boy with two symmetrical hair whorls that go in opposite directions. Having two of these circular patches is already quite unique, but them being mirrored makes it even more special. And the cool thing about this? The boy can grow a mohawk that’s actually natural.

Tentacle tongue

If you think that this is some impressive make-up or a computer-generated image, you’ll be surprised to hear that this picture is actually very real. This person appears to have tentacles underneath the tongue, but it’s actually a condition called ‘plica fimbriata’. Luckily, it isn’t hazardous in any way, although it does look scary and the skin tags can get stuck in between teeth.

Five fingers, but no thumb

It’s not very uncommon to have a missing or an extra finger, but this is a situation that you don’t really see that often. This person has five fingers, but no thumb. Or at least, it doesn’t look like a thumb. The finger has three phalanges instead of two, which makes the thumb look like a regular finger instead. Luckily, reconstructive surgery for this condition is quite simple.

Abnormally dilated

The eyes can certainly behave in weird ways sometimes, just like in this case. One of the pupils works perfectly fine and will fluctuate according to the amount of light, but the other one just stays the same size all the time. The condition is called anisocoria, and it results in this unique and unbelievable look.

Disproportionate legs

This woman is actually a famous model and bodybuilder, Ia Östergren. As you can see, the proportions of her body are most definitely unique as her legs seem ultra-long compared to the rest of her body. Her total height is 5’8″, and her legs account for no less than 3’5″.

Cold finger

This person has a very interesting and unique finger with a special ability: it can react to extreme temperatures, mainly the cold. Whenever it’s cold, the blood circulation is decreased. One of the fingers is particularly sensitive to it, which results in a unique yellowish or ghostly white color whenever his hands get cold.

Cat eye syndrome

This amazing picture was taken in Nepal and shows a little boy with the ‘cat eye syndrome’, scientifically known as the Schmid-Fracarro syndrome. People who have this condition have a very abnormal eye shape that looks like the eyes of a cat. The syndrome is caused by an irregularity in the chromosomes.

Proteus syndrome

This condition is definitely one that isn’t talked about much, partly because it’s also very uncommon. The symptoms are an overgrowth of skin, tissue, and bones which causes this unique look. The effects Proteus syndrome has on the body are immense and unfortunately, there is no known cure.

Polymelia

Having extra limbs such as two additional arms can actually be quite dangerous, because it can cause a ton of medical complications. The condition, known as polymelia, often requires surgery near birth to avoid further issues. In some cases, the extra limbs are caused by a undeveloped conjoined twin, but in other cases it’s just a severe genetic deviation.
