All parents get angry at their children, sometimes it’s justified, other times not quite. Regardless of the situation, or what you have done to upset them, grannies will try to calm things down. Of course, don’t forget the fact that your parents are their children. That makes grandma some kind of ‘super proxy human’ that knows everyone so well and brings peace to any argument.

If you’re feeling down, or things aren’t going well, or you’re sad – the best place to go is to see your grandma. Grandparents are true gems in our lives, and no one can offer so much warmth and empathy as a grandmother. They have a lifelong experience of dealing with different stressful situations and seeing a different perspective. Remember: your grandma has taken care of a household, she has raised children, and grandchildren, and dealt with life a lot before you were even born. Could you, having all that in mind, think of a better person to ask for advice?

When looking for unconditional love, support, and understanding – put your head in grandma’s lap. We bet everyone did that as a child. Even now, when you close your eyes and think of that, a sudden feeling of warmth and security overwhelms you. That’s the power of grandma’s love. Cherish it, and spend as much time as possible with the incredible lady whose hands are the best at caressing your hair.

Grandma is probably the only person whose hug will always feel the same and take you back to your childhood. If there is someone who can teach you how to love, respect, and listen to others, that’s your granny. After all, she’s doing all those beautiful things for you – she loves you, respects you, and always listens to you carefully.

Try this sometimes: don’t let them see you, hide somewhere, and listen to them. You’ll hear them commenting on all those smallest tips and tricks on how to do this and that. It’s a real treasure. Grannies are super smart and very punctual. Do you know how your parents sometimes asked grandma to pick you up from school?! Was she ever late? Of course not.
