10-year-old boy gets up on stage with the Foo Fighters and shreds an epic cover of Metallica

Watching kids display extraordinary talent never gets old.

It is always inspiring to see when they excel at things so far beyond their age. Look at this 10-year-old boy. He got invited by the Foo Fighters on stage to play with them. He gets up there and brings the house down playing this Metallica song with his epic guitar skills.

The kid takes on the stage!

Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl invites Collier Cash Rule on stage to play the guitar. Collier was just 10 years old at the time.

10-year-old Collier attended a Foo Fighters concert in Kansas City, Missouri back in 2018. During the break, Grohl notices the young boy in the crowd and asks if he knew how to play the guitar. The young boy excitedly tells him that he does.

That was when Dave Grohl decides to invite him on stage to play with him.

Collier, a young boy from Shawnee, Missouri, confidently went up on stage and joined the rest of the Foo Fighters. Grohl goes on to ask the boy what kind of songs he knows, Collier replies:

“I know a lot of Metallica songs”

Collier picks “Enter Sandman” by Metallica and starts rocking out for the packed crowd.

Collier begin to play the chords to the famous Metallica song, and the audience lets out a huge yell of approval. Grohl cheers him on and starts singing the words. This 10-year-old is natural! He even walks around stage, owning the moment, while perfectly playing the complex song.

This kids talent pleasantly surprises Grohl. He points to the kid, giving him the stage, as he walks away from the microphone.

Collier finishes the song, but Grohl wants to hear him play them some more Metallica songs.

He plays a few more Metallica songs. Grohl cracks up even more.

For a 10-year-old kid, it’s not very easy to perform in front of thousands of people. Collier freezes for a second on stage, and Grohl can’t help but laugh. But the crowd cheers the kid on as he begins playing another song.

Grohl asks Collier to play them one last song, and drummer Taylor Hawkins, who was formerly the drummer for Alanis Morissette, recognizes the song and comes in to back up. Before Collier leaves the stage, Grohl asks the young boy if he wants his guitar.

Grohl gives his guitar to the little boy as a souvenir and the aspiring musician is overwhelmed.

Grohl asks Collier if he wants to keep his guitar, the 10-year-old kid thinks he’s joking around.

The audience cheers for Grohl to give the kid the instrument. When Collier realizes no one is joking, he instantly reaches out to hug the superstar musician in gratitude.

The heartwarming moment touched so many people on social media. The video spread like wildfire on the internet.

More than 5.4 million people have viewed the video and it gained 49,000 likes on YouTube since it was posted.

Another user uploaded the video and it got over eight million views. Thousands of people have left comments about Grohl’s inspiring gesture. It’s touching to see that all the fame hasn’t gone to his head.

Seeing big celebrities lift up young children to boost their confidence is always heart-warming.
