If you own a cat, you can probably confirm that the furry little creature is your whole life. They mean everything to you and you love taking care of them… But when does a pet suddenly turn into your “baby”?

Here are some signs that could very well suggest that your cat is far more than just an ordinary “cat.”

1. You give them their first toy.

This doesn’t seem like much at first. I mean, it would be weirder to not give your cat a toy. But this is just the beginning… It’s what lights the fire.

2. So then you get your cat more toys

Ah… And so it begins. It starts with one toy but then you keep buying them more and more until, all of a sudden, they look like this.

3. Then they move on to the children’s things

Eventually, the cat toys get old. Your cat begins to crave something more. So you let them dive into the children toys around the house and suddenly the line between your kid and your cat is very blurred.

4. You tuck them in at night

Cats like to be comfy and cozy. That’s what makes them such a great pet in the first place. So it’s not even too crazy to think you would tuck them in at night. But then…

5. But then your cat switches beds…

But then eventually his bed doesn’t cut it and he wants to jump into your bed. And he does. And you’re not going to say no or kick him out, so then you start tucking him in when you go to sleep yourself.

6. Then you switch it up

Then after noticing how comfy and cozy your cat likes to get in your bed, you decide to spoil them with their very own bed. You get a ton of blankets and pillows and quite literally build them their own little crib.

7. And to match the crib

You can’t just build a crib for your cat and stop there. Go big or go home, right? So then you gift your cat with some matching pajamas… Obviously.

8. Then it’s time for a stroll

It’s time for a stroll, except you don’t just make your cat walk on their own. You take them by carriage because it is comfy and cozy and they are royalty who deserve nothing but the absolute best.

9. And actually, all travel is a breeze for your cat

If you baby them on walks, there’s no doubt you’re going to baby them for every other way of transportation. If you ever need to put them in the car for a ride, they have their very own car seat.

10. You start to think dark thoughts

You think to yourself, “Is my cat… Better than an actual child?” And hey, the answer could be yes. After all, they are sweet and cozy and they can’t ever talk back…

11. Part of the family

You slowly begin to realize that you could never imagine life without your beautiful cat. They make everything so much brighter and they are truly part of the family!

Whether they are an animal or a child, it doesn’t matter. Your cat is definitely your “baby.”
