Simon Cowell literally beckoned to the little girl to come over.

He just went to grab a drink during the show’s break. Audience members were allowed to show their singing skills a bit, a part Simon usually skips.

But as soon as he got back, the crowd was cheering for a little girl singing her heart out that even Howie spun around to have a look.

She is 11-year-old Madison Taylor Baez.

Madison’s always been a fan of the show, and has always wanted to audition, knowing full well she had the talent for it.

Simon asks her to come forward right after introductions were made, where he asks her to sing again, but this time on stage.

And everyone in the audience, including Maddie’s dad, cheered her on to the stage.

Judge Howie Mandel says that’s what happens during commercial breaks.

He was the first to turn around and see Madison singing, quickly pointing her out to fellow judges Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum.

Maddie serenaded the audience with an impressive a cappella rendition of “Amazing Grace”.

Simon came out in shock, his face inquisitive and in disbelief at what he was hearing.

Maddie sings the same song on stage.

“We do ask people in the breaks if they’d like to sing a song and I was literally just coming back in and I heard this voice, thinking, ‘Who the hell is that?’” Cowell said. “And then I see this little thing in the audience and it’s you.”

“I’ve been to many tapings, and ever since I was 4 years old, I would always try and sing for the commercial breaks,” Maddie said. “And it’s always been my dream to be on the show. And I’m finally here.”

Baez was visibly nervous so Simon encouraged her to sing after she composed herself.

Young Maddie blew everyone away with a powerful voice that didn’t seem to fit her small frame. A small girl at the age of eleven couldn’t possibly possess a voice like that!

That’s singing high praise to the heavens!

Maddie stops after a few lines as host Terry Crews and the audience, now standing, are cheering her on.

Simon is in disbelief, smiling as he gestures to her to keep singing.

Baez obliges launching once more into an unbelievable display of power, tone, and control.

This little lady is out of this world!

“I’m not kidding. In all the years we’ve ever done this, this has never actually happened before. I normally leave during the break because people do sing, so this is actually the opposite. It actually brought me back into the room,” Cowell said.

What would Maddie do if she won?

Maddie wants to help her dad who, for nine years, has been battling stage four colon cancer.

Simon calls for a vote but as he looks to Howie, the crowd starts chanting, “Golden buzzer!”

Mandel smiles before standing and hitting the Golden Buzzer, making golden confetti rain down on a crying Maddie.

Her dad is there on stage, thanking Howie, saying his daughter always sang to him during surgeries and chemo treatments. Maddie’s singing helped him fight and get through.

Maddie has a bright future and we can’t wait to see more!
