Most people like to reduce stress by looking at photos of puppies and kittens. But there is one group of animals that doesn’t get the recognition that they deserve — donkeys. Yes, donkeys are painfully overlooked.

However, we’re here to shine some light on these seemingly forgotten mammals. For so long, we have taken their existence for granted but not anymore. Today, we pay homage to baby donkeys all over the world!

Move over pups and kittens. The donkeys have arrived.

1) Love at first sight

Well, isn’t this just adorable? There couldn’t have been a better way to introduce the cuteness of donkeys to the world. Who can resist these dark-eyed fur friends?

2) Morning trot

Did we mention that they trot too? In a field of daisies, no less. This little donkey looks they’re having the best time being out and about in nature. Just look at those ears!

3) I’m not perfect

Okay, so they’re not perfect. There’s poop around them sometimes. But if you can avoid looking down and focus on their adorableness as a whole, you can get through it!

4) We sleep anywhere

It’s incredibly heartwarming to see little babies falling asleep just about wherever they are. Just look at all the fur on this one. Needless to say, it looks like they would be the perfect napping buddy.

5) Literally, anywhere

Cold hard ground? No problem! Just look at this one, sleeping like a baby. After all, it is one!

6) Frolicking

Why not frolic through a field of four-leaf clovers? Don’t mind if I do. Just try and keep up with this energetic donkey. This one is on the move!

7) Smell the flowers

Now this donkey has the right idea. It’s always a good idea to stop every once in a while and smell the flowers around you. But a photo of a donkey doing so? Cuteness overload!

8) Me and my donkey

How many kids can say that they have a pet donkey? Not enough, that’s for sure. Let’s work on changing that, shall we? After all, there’s room for one more, “man’s best friend,” isn’t there?

9) Not too shabby

Well, maybe a little too shabby. This poor donkey looks like it had quite the day. Don’t you wish that you could cheer this little baby up?

10) Donkey in the house!

This family has a donkey inside of their house! I wonder if it’s housebroken? One thing is for sure, this donkey knows its way around the property. Look at this hiding spot!

11) Hush little baby

Well, look at this! This newborn is getting nice and cozy in a doggy bed. It’s just so cute! If they’re not careful, this donkey isn’t going to want to sleep outside.
