Puppies are some of the cutest animals on the planet, and it’s pretty much impossible to resist their adorable little faces and super sweet eyes.

Puppies can always cheer us up, even on the darkest of days, but there’s one type of puppy that is even more adorable than all the others.

We’re talking, of course, about the chubby puppy! These heavy pups prove that having a few extra pounds isn’t always such a bad thing. Here are some of our favorite chunky canines.

1) Walking On Air

Look at this bouncy boy! He’s so chunky he chooses to hop along the ground like this, instead of walking normally. It looks pretty fun, and we can’t help smiling whenever we see this photo.

2) A Very Cuddly Teddy Bear

Is this really a puppy? We’re not convinced! It looks more like the world’s cutest, cuddliest, chubbiest teddy bear! We could spend hours snuggling up with this little guy.

3) Day At The Beach

Plenty of people worry about getting the perfect ‘beach body’, but this pup doesn’t care about any of that! She’s just enjoying her time in the sun and sand. You go girl!

4) Are You Getting My Good Side?

The expression on the face of this chubby pup is killing us! He looks so grumpy and grouchy, and probably just wants to be set back down on the grass so he can go find something to eat.

5) Too Cute

All puppies are cute, but this one is taking cuteness to whole new heights! It’s a Keeshond and American Eskimo mixed breed, and it’s utterly fabulous.

6) Happy Halloween!

This super cute pup is celebrating Halloween in style, posing in a plastic pumpkin for a memorable photograph. Looks like he’d rather be eating some candy though!

7) Left, Right, Left, Right

This chunky butt boy is only just learning to walk, so it’s pretty normal that he has a few extra pounds. He’ll start to lose them soon enough, once he learns to run!

This sleepy pup is so tired from carrying his chunky body around all day. It’s time for him to take a very long nap.

9) The Perfect Name

This chubby pup has a perfect name to match his big chunky body: Brownie! It looks like he spends every day eating brownies with all those rolls around his face and stomach.

10) Chubby Family

Chubbiness must run in the family, as all of these brothers and sisters seem to have inherited the genes! Either that or their owners are a little too generous with the food.

11) Sleepy Boy

Puppies can nap almost anywhere, but the best place for a chubby pup to take a little rest is right in his food bowl, surrounded by delicious treats to eat when he finally wakes up!

12) A Puppy Or A Bear Cub?

Just look at this guy! Okay, we admit he could probably benefit from a little more time on the treadmill and a little less time eating treats, but he’s so cute! With the colors of his coat and the shape of his body, he almost looks more like a bear cub than a classic canine pup.
