1. Garlic

If you use garlic as I do, it gets expensive always buying more and more. The good news, you can actually grow garlic at home using your old cloves. Just plant them, and before you know it you’ll have some fresh garlic to eat!
2. Tomatoes

Most people think you absolutely have to buy seeds to grow tomatoes, but you don’t. You can either save some seeds from a tomato you eat or even just plant half of a tomato and it will re-grow itself.
3. Romaine lettuce

Instead of constantly buying new romaine lettuce, just plant the center of lettuce and watch the magic happen. You can do this indoors or out, and will always have a nice fresh head of romaine.
4. Potatoes

Don’t ever buy potatoes again! You can plant them in a glass jar, or bury them in some soil outside. Either way, they’ll sprout up some nice fresh potatoes that you can feed the entire family with.
5. Pineapple

It’s easy to make the mistake that pineapple only grows in tropical places, but it couldn’t be more wrong. If you cut off the top part of the pineapple and bury it in the soil, a new pineapple will grow in its place.
6. Avocado

Avocado is a great fruit to grow, and it’s easier than you may think. Just save the pit of the avocado and place it over a jar of water, once it sprouts roots, bury it in soil and you’ll have your own avocado tree.
7. Cherries

Who doesn’t love a juicy cherry? Well, you can easily grow them on your own. Take the pit of the cherry, bury it, and watch your own cherry tree grow. You’ll be able to pick the delicious fruit right from the tree!
8. Cucumber

Cucumbers are delicious and refreshing, did you know you can grow your own using another cucumber? Either scrape the seeds into a pot, garden or even just toss a portion of the cucumber in some soil burying it. Before long, a new vine with appear with fresh cucumbers growing from it.
9. Carrots

Carrots are a great veggie to have, grow them at home using your old carrot tops! Just cut off the top of the carrots, plant them in the ground and/0r put them in a jar of water and watch your new carrots sprout from the top.
10. Lemons

You’ll have to wait a couple of years for this one, but it’ll be well worth it. Just take the seeds from the lemon cleaning and drying them well, plant them and watch your lemon tree grow.
11. Peaches

Ever wanted your own peach tree? Well, you can grow one from your old peach pits! First, make sure the pit is completely dry, then, plant it in nutrient-rich soil and your peach tree will start to grow.
12. Green onions

Chives are super cool to grow, all you need if your old green onions and a glass of water. Simply put the unused roots of your scallions in a glass of water and put it by the window, before long, it’ll sprout new shoots.
