10+ hysterical signs at businesses that didn't mean to be this funny

Signs and advertisements are an important part of running any successful business. The attention-grabbing signs are a fantastic avenue of communicating with the public. They can inform us of flash sales, closures, or new inventory. Being that these signs are responsible for bringing in new and return business, it’s critically important to get them right.

Although having the right signs should be a must, there are some businesses that have failed epically at it and it’s hilarious. Here are 12 hilarious signs that really shouldn’t be this funny.

You or someone you know have an erection problem? No worries! There’s finally a business that can handle all of your erection needs.

2. Common sense isn’t all that common

Unfortunately, “common” sense has become somewhat of a rare commodity. It’s all-important when posting signs that they be as clear as possible. Otherwise, you end up with people like this one.

3. Yeah…blame that guy

When you put up surveillance signs, customers can start to feel a bit harassed. After all, not everyone comes in with sticky fingers. This sign clearly puts the blame on a mysterious pooper, though, and that takes the sting of the warning right out of it. Just don’t be that guy.

4. Unfortunately, it looks like this toilet is meant for no one.

Or, at least we hope that there’s no one on the planet that fits that bill. We somehow think it’s impossible to be both elderly and a child. To be all four would really be something, though.

5. Discrimination or mistranslation?

We aren’t too sure how to take this sign. Is it indicating that 3 Americans are equal in weight and mass to 10 people from any other nation? Maybe it’s just a terrible translation? Either way…hilariously epic fail.

6. Signs that shame

Jeez, Abby! Get your sh** together already, would you?! We can only imagine how hard the disgruntled employee who had to take her shift was laughing when they decided to call her out. We’re thinking it was probably worth it in the end, though. Hopefully, Abby read it.

7. An understandable spelling error?

Well, that seems a bit harsh. When prosecution fails, though, the obvious next step is prostitution. It’ll help them earn the money to pay the business back faster.

8. Is McDonald’s offering a new, illicit line of service?

This is a prime example of why learning how to spell is important. We’re betting they got a LOT of unexpected, and unfillable orders while this sign was up.

9. Apparently, this needed to be said

This doesn’t seem like something that people should have to be told. On the other hand, how great would it have been to witness the aftermath of the first person who did?

10. Poor fella

Doesn’t Dick know that if he’s going to do something, he should do it all the way? Just sayin’… he’s probably lost a lot of perfectly good female business with this sign. Think it through Dick… think it through.

11. Why order is important

Well! The way this set of signs would have us read it, Target is up to some pretty nefarious stuff these days. Who knew something so mundane as staples would be used for such an awful thing!? Shame on you Target. That’s not very nice.

12. We won’t be buying our liquor here…

Who on earth would ever want to buy their alcohol from a liquor store with STD on the sign? Then again… this could be a great way to remind people that drinking can have its consequences. Still, probably not the best way to name your business in this day and age.
