Do you like your neighbors? Do you get along famously, keep courteous in passing, or eye them suspiciously? For many people, coming home to unwind after a long day’s work is much needed. Unplugging from everything (and everyone) is the rewind and reset we need. Unfortunately, sometimes we just can’t seem to get the space we so seriously crave. For some, neighbors can make the difference between peaceful days and riotous ones. Follow along for some examples of neighbors who you’ll surely be glad aren’t yours (or are they?).

1) Midnight Mower

One Reddit user shared his experience when he thought his neighbor was mowing his lawn at nine-o-clock at night. Upon waking up the next morning his suspicions were confirmed. Unfortunately, the job looks incomplete.

2) Firework Freakout

Here’s an example of a man being challenged by his neighbor. Sometimes the only way to agree is to disagree. This neighbor said she’d call the police on him if he shot off his fireworks after 11pm. Challenge accepted!

3) Pick a Song, Any Song

4) To the Punk Who Stole Our Pumpkin

There’s a pumpkin thief in the neighborhood and this family made sure to address the issue with poise and grace. One of their neighbors applauded their efforts and uploaded it to Reddit.

5) Puppy Payment

A user uploaded their own neighborly dispute to Reddit, documenting the details of a dog fight that broke out. According to user dreampopper, their neighbor owed them $288.66 for a vet bill after their Great Dane attacked his Golden Retriever. One day before their small claims court trial, the money was coughed up. In pennies.

There’s nothing like coming home to this sight after a long day. This was posted to Reddit’s ‘Mildly Infuriating’ board. ‘Nuff said!

7) One Shot

Home sweet home, it’s where we all want to be. Yet imagine lying down and relaxing only for a bullet to come through your wall. This guy posted his experience to Imgur, where apparently the shot was made by his neighbor two doors down.

8) Selfish Sidewalk

Being neighbors doesn’t automatically mean that you’re friends. This neighbor made sure to drive the point home, right to the doorstep.

9) Nosy Neighbor

There’s nothing more satisfying than getting a little peace, space, and quiet. Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible when you have nosy neighbors to contend with. Such was the case for this Reddit user’s father. Apparently their neighbors call the city every time they do work on their property, resulting in this sign.

10) Jeepers Creepers

This neighborhood is ripe with a variety of Wifi users. There’s nothing like having your neighbors call your showers out over the internet connection. But it certainly doesn’t hurt to be creepy right back.

Instagram user Melanie posted about her inconsiderate neighbors, who leave their RV hanging out in the street for weeks. The worst part? It’s a private community and the cops’ hands are tied.
