There’s nothing I can say about dogs that hasn’t been said already. They are everything. Adorable, sweet, trustworthy, and deserving of the world.

When you’ve got to camp out someplace far from home, it helps to have someone who reminds you of home. Who better than your beloved dog? Henry the dog here passed away recently, and his owner misses every moment like this that they had.

Dog is “god” spelled backwards, after all. So why not remake Michael Angelo’s famous painting of The Creation of Adam? This one might not fit in in the basilica, though.

After years of sitting on coffee tables, chairs, people’s laps, and people’s books, this cat is finally getting a taste of its own medicine. The dog couldn’t look any cuter doing it too.

German Shepherds are the absolute cutest, and they’re even cuter as puppies. This little rascal seems to have been hiding in the hedges from his owner. Can you be mad at him?

5. Hey, calm down.

There’s that old expression “Like a kid in a candy store.” Though looking at this, “Dog in a doggy store” might sell the point a bit better. Look at its face!

Hydration support dog is here. Golden Retrievers have notoriously soft mouths – enough that they can hold an egg in there without breaking it! You can tell how gentle they are with things just from this photo. I wouldn’t feel bad about being sick if he was taking care of me.

7. Never change.

When meeting new people, breaking the ice is always a little hard. But for dogs? Not at all. A bit of hand-sniffing is all it takes. These two are even eager to play with their new neighbor already.

Rusty and Watson are two different dogs from different homes. When their respective parents arranged for them to have a playdate, it went about as well as you expected. Golden Retrievers excel at making best friends, as usual.

9. A pretty hairy baby, no doubt.

When you love a dog enough, you can hold them like a baby as long and as often as it takes. And most of the time, I don’t think they’d mind.

10. Most of us could use a dog like this.

Anxiety is an absolute nightmare to live with. Thinking about something can often feel way worse than whatever that thing is. I sure wouldn’t mind holding a dog’s paw to calm myself down. It’s just another reason why dogs are precious!

11. I wouldn’t come home to anything else.

Most people teach their dogs not to jump. Personally, I love coming home from work to a good hug.

It’s true that some dogs can be a handful when they jump all over you. Some folks aren’t too fond of that. But some people love receiving a jumping hug from a dog just as much as the dog loves giving it!

Not many dogs will try to dance with you. When you do get the chance though, don’t pass it up. It’ll make a fantastic memory, and an even better photo.

12 is hardly enough reasons to spell out how much we love dogs. Entire stories could be told about how incredible they are. But nonetheless, those 12 reasons we chose were pretty good, don’t you think?
