10+ of the sweetest animals that surprised humans with a friendly 'hello'
Animals are some of the friendliest beings on the planet. While this is a small fact that any pet owner can tell you, the phenomenon reaches far beyond just our domesticated, furry little friends. An animal doesn’t have to be a dog or a cat to want to greet people. Sometimes, it’s an exotic creature that decides to grace your doorstep.
Here are 12 times animals showed up unannounced to say ‘hello’ to people.
1. Showers are the perfect time to say ‘hello’
While there are many furry critters out there that would love to say ‘hello’, not all of them are cute and cuddly. Or, at least that depends on your perception. Most people don’t think of possums as “cute”, but this little bugger that snuck into someone’s shower sure does challenge that notion.
2. And squirrels think so, too!
Apparently, the shower just seems like the perfect place for some wild animals to pop in and say ‘hello’. Like the possum, this squirrel lodged himself behind the showerhead and gave the owner an unexpected greeting.
3. What’s better than a gang of puppies?
Nothing. The answer is nothing is better than a gang of puppies, and if you’re an animal lover then you already know that. This is perhaps the cutest gang of furry friends that we have ever seen.
4. An enthusiastic deer ‘hello’
A man walked out of his cabin tucked away in the mountains to find this curious deer nosing about. Once she saw the man, she walked right up to him to say ‘hello’ and refused to leave. Not the best survival instincts in those parts but proof-positive that animals aren’t the problem when it comes to getting along with other species.
5. A friendly Crane ‘hello’
If you live in Florida and leave your garage door open during the winter season, don’t be surprised if you walk into a scene like this one. This friendly family of cranes felt totally at ease sneaking into this person’s garage to escape the weather and weren’t at all afraid to be greeted by the human that owns it.
6. A wallaby’s welcome
This sweet mama Wallaby was rescued two years ago and brought up in the care of humans. Now that she’s grown with a baby of her own, she treats her rescuers like family and always brings her baby around to show him off.
7. A brilliant peacock greeting
This man was taken totally off guard when he glanced out his window and found a brilliant looking bird parading around on his banister. It turns out that he was an escapee from a nearby farm and was just looking for a little human interaction. We don’t blame him for wanting to show off those gorgeous feathers.
8. The adorable smirk of moose thieves
When a Canadian resident went outside to investigate why her crab apples kept disappearing, she was greeted with this sight. From the hilarious smirk on these moose’s faces, we’d say that the homeowner caught the culprits in the act. And they don’t look the least sorry about it, either.
9. A smile from a seal
While sailing around for a nice quiet afternoon, a man was unexpectedly greeted by this adorable little fella.
“This little guy jumped onto our boat strolled into the cabin and made himself at home on the couch,” he wrote.
10. Curious new neighbors
This gives a whole new meaning to the idea of nosy neighbors. This person recently moved into a new house and her bandit-looking new neighbors pushed their noses through the fence to say ‘hello’.
11. The dapper toad’s ‘hello’
What is one to do when a large toad swings by to greet them on their porch every day? Become masters of toad fashion, of course! This person decided her dapper little toad friend could use some sprucing up in his wardrobe. Hence the handmade, feathered toad pimp-hat and monocle.
Please SHARE this with your friends and family.
12. Chilling with the homies
Sometimes wild animals grace our homes not just to say ‘hello’ to us, but to greet our other furbabies, as well. That’s the case with this enormous buck who made fast friends with this person’s dog and cat. Being the friendly animal lovers they are, they bought a giant dog bed so the buck could lounge with his besties too!
