1. Being a doctor in times of crisis is nothing short of heroic, especially when it’s a pandemic like COVID-19. One doctor, in particular, an anesthetist named Giampiero Giron from Italy, even came out of retirement to help patients suffering from Coronavirus recover. Giron was actually a member of the team that performed Italy’s first heart transplant back in 1985.

2. One Arab immigrant living in Italy who bought and owns a fruit market decided to take matters into his own hands by giving away a bunch of fruit for free. He even wrote a heartfelt sign and left it with the free fruit, which read “You welcomed me into your country for the last 10 years. Today I return a favor to you.” Even though many small business owners are struggling right now, acts of kindness like this one do not go unnoticed.

3. One Canadian woman named Robin Stevenson and her family sponsored a refugee family to come to Canada back in 2016. Said refugee family was so grateful, that when everyone began self-isolating, they decided to leave an abundance of bagged groceries on the Stevensons front porch. In a tweet, Robin Stevenson listed some of the goodies that the refugee family left her and expressed her gratitude for their kindness. Kindness really does come full circle.

4. A certain man named Richard Briley posted about his mother who was diagnosed with COVID-19. Richard’s mom is 86 years old and she survived the holocaust, open-heart surgery, two knee replacements, and multiple fractures to her hip, ribs, and spine. Even so, Richard’s mother survived COVID-19 and was cleared to go home. He shared her story in an attempt to spread more hope amongst people who are worried.

5. Great businesses don’t panic in times of trial and tribulation; they pivot instead! Jason Barrett posted on Facebook about how his Bourbon business turned into a hand sanitizer company in just eight days. Not only is this a great way for his business to continue flourishing successfully, but it’s also an incredible way for his business to give back to the hospitals that may not have all of the necessary equipment.

6. Dogs to the rescue, yet again! Wynn is a service dog in training who was raised by a doctor with the purpose of comforting medical staff members who are working on the frontlines of the Coronavirus in Denver, Colorado. Anyone working in the medical field to help fight COVID-19 needs all the extra love that they can get. Dogs are proven to help lower stress, and that’s exactly what Wynn is here to do. Not all heroes wear capes!

One person posted this photo of an empty section in a grocery store with a sign that reads “To all our elderly customers, please ask if you need anything as we have kept extra stock specifically for you. Thank you.” This small gesture goes to show how big the hearts of employees working on the frontlines really are.

8. It’s always a beautiful thing when people from all different backgrounds can unite together beneath a common cause. In this case, Sikhs from around the world banded together to send meals to thousands of people who are in isolation due to COVID-19. So far, the group has donated over 1.5 tons of food to people in need.

9. Sometimes, the best thing we can do to protect our loved ones is to keep our distance. This doctor who has been treating patients at a high-risk hospital in Arkansas has to drive one hour just to see his toddler through the grass, but that doesn’t stop him from driving home to visit his family, even if he doesn’t get to hug and kiss them, it’s the gesture that counts.

10. One woman’s father suffered through the nasty virus that is COVID-19, but he recovered well, even after having lost 26 pounds in the process of fighting it off. The woman who shared this photo of her father on Reddit mentioned that he was 78 years old, and going strong!

11. A good sense of humor is always appreciated during trying times. Anna Davis’ family is lucky enough to have a grandfather with a fantastic sense of humor. She got out of the shower to hear her kids screaming and her dog going crazy, and when she ran downstairs, she heard them yelling “Grandad’s hair!!!” Turns out her dad decided to dye his hair purple to amuse himself and his relatives during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

One woman on Reddit posted about how her great-uncle visits his wife (who lives in an assisted living facility) every single day, and COVID-19 hasn’t stopped him from doing so. Although he’s not allowed to enter the facility due to safety precautions, it hasn’t stopped him from showing her his love whenever he visits, even if it’s at a distance.
