12 easy ways to never have a messy fridge again

Inside a kitchen, there’s one part that the family and people gravitate towards. No, it’s not the table. It’s the fridge!

Sometimes, people don’t even notice the table or the stove or anything else in the kitchen. All they see is the fridge. Sometimes, they’ll even just eat by the fridge.

The fridge is the focal point of the kitchen.

So it’s always important to keep it clean and organized to avoid food waste and unnecessary and untimely takeout food.

How can we keep it clean and organized? Here are some tips.

Dry erase board

This is such a great idea. Use the kitchen doors as a dry erase board. List down all the things inside and update as soon as food or drinks have been consumed. If the door can’t be transformed into a dry erase board, attach a magnetic whiteboard and do the same.

Or you can transform it into a chalkboard. Just stick chalk paper on the door and write away!

Use bins.

Use different bins to store the contents of your fridge. You can use different colored bins for the different content so you know which ones to go to first. You can have a different bin for leftovers, a different one for jams and spreads, a different one for snacks, and a different bin for milk, among others.

Or you can use the same set of colored bins and add labels at the front. This is especially helpful when other family members can’t remember your organizational system.

Use washable placemats.

One of the things most of us hate about cleaning in the fridge is taking apart the shelves and washing them in the sink. Most of the time they don’t fit under the sink and we end up splashing water all over.

When you use washable placemats, you only need to take out the placemats and wash those only. They’re easier to dry, too, with a towel so you can place them back immediately.
