13-year-old Girl dissolves crowd into laughter when her “dog” starts singing

For Ana-Maria Mărgean, it’s all about serendipity, talent, and determination.

As a judge of America’s Got Talent All Stars, you’ve probably seen singers and dancers over and over.

So when Mărgean took the stage with a dog puppet, everyone was all eyes and ears.

She had everyone’s attention.

Ventriloquism has always been an intriguing craft.

It’s almost like magic but through sounds.

It truly is way easier said than done so when a 14-year-old Margean appeared in the American franchise of the show, everyone was thrilled.

One can already expect what was about to happen.

You can say that ventriloquism acts are similar and that it all boils down to how crafty the jokes and banter are.

Mărgean started the same when she introduced her dog Waldo who looks like a giant Yorkshire terrier.

The two began to banter.

This much to the amusement of the judges. But what came next shocked all of them.

Mărgean learned how to voice puppets during the pandemic.

Much like most of us who found ourselves with too much time, Mărgean took up a hobby.

Some of us started planting, learning instruments, binge-watching TV shows, and cooking. Not Mărgean, though.

She said she became interested when she saw a video of Got Talent alumni Terry Fator.

She then trained as a ventriloquist where she used different puppets that were given to her as a gift.

Mărgean joined Romania’s Got Talent.

Even she was surprised when the competition hailed her as the grand champion. Mărgean said that her life changed in an instant after that.

She suddenly found herself doing shows and interviews.

But the best part, she said in the video, was when she finally transferred her family from a small apartment to a house she built.

She then came to America’s Got Talent to see if she can break out in the United States.

And it looks like she might be on her way to success when she floored the judges with her performance.

Besides bantering, the puppet sings.

And they weren’t just singing.

They were belting out high and powerful notes from the song “You Don’t Own Me.”

Voicing a puppet is hard enough in itself. Margean, however, gave it a singing voice. She was singing the song in two different voices having two vocal ranges.

That truly is impressive!

The judges admired Mărgean and her talent.

Mandel said he was blown away especially after learning that Mărgean has only been training for a couple of months.

Cowell even joked that he thought she brought in a real-speaking dog.

He added that people like Mărgean made the show special because it was always thrilling to see how the best of the best compete.

People all over the internet were impressed as well.

“Ana-Maria is, hands down, the best act I’ve seen on any AGT show this year! I didn’t expect her to be that great when she started her act, but truthfully her talent blew me right out of my chair!” said one.

“The fact that she has only been doing this for about 2 years is unreal,” Said another, “She’s fabulously talented, and I’m so glad they had her on all-stars.”
