15 dogs that beat cancer and can’t wait to share the good news
The big C.
Cancer is a scary disease and has devastating effects on families. That’s just as true when it happens to our furry loved ones as well, especially since they can’t communicate their suffering.
These 15 furry fighters are giving us a reason to celebrate as they share their good health news online after long and arduous cancer treatments.
1. Victory!
What a great day!
We hope this adorable pooch got more than a photo op – we think some major treats and cuddles are in order as well!
2. An investment in the future
Most of us would do anything for our furry friends, but that doesn’t mean it’s fun to have to spend thousands at the vet.
But we have no doubt that this dog owner has spent no time regretting his investment – though he got some help from a fundraiser.
The original diagnosis gave this beautiful Golden Retriever named Corbin only 6 weeks to live.
3. A long time coming
Look at that sweet face. We can hardly believe this sweet pup had to undergo 24 weeks of chemo to beat cancer.
That’s a lot to go through!
4. A hero in more ways than one
The decision to invest in this German Shepherd’s treatment was a no-brainer for her family – after all, she had already saved them:
“A year after we got her, she stopped a robbery in progress in the middle of the night while my family and I were sleeping. That was about 14 years ago, and I am glad I got to repay the favor!,” said the Redditor who owns her.
5. Graduation day
What a sweet idea for a vet’s office.
We wish this pup the best on his post-graduation career of being an adorable, healthy snuggle buddy.
6. Kicking cancer’s butt
This sweet boxer looks like he’s up for the challenge of knocking out his cancer.
Perhaps Randy is ready to undergo some chemo treatments. Regardless of the plan referred to on his sign, we hope this fighter won his battle.
7. No more pills
This sweet dog looks pretty happy to be done with treatment.
We hope there are many more years ahead after this health scare.
8. Cause for celebration
We can’t think of a better reason to put a party hat on a dog than to celebrate the end of cancer treatment!
Hopefully, there was cake too.
9. Delightful news for Doug
This doggy named Doug is celebrating his last day of chemo and we couldn’t be happier for him.
It’s sad to think that these sweet creatures have to go through pain they don’t understand.
10. Choose your battles
Abby chose her battles wisely.
Regardless of what you think about pit bulls, they are loving creatures when raised properly.
The only thing this little girl ever attacked was cancer.
11. Party pooch
Everyone looks happy that this pup is on the mend.
This animal hospital looks like a great place to have your pet treated if they put so much effort into celebrating with their patients.
12. Tripod triumph
While this beautiful dog had to have his front leg amputated, it looks like he’s recovering well.
That smile makes it look like he knows there are many more years ahead for him.
When his owner posted the pic to Twitter, other 3-legged dog owners posted their photos as well and the good cheer quickly went viral.
13. Celebratory steak
Nothing says celebration for a dog more than a big, delicious steak.
Looks like the perfect reward for this furry fighter.
14. Eight is great
Eight more months of this sweet face and hopefully many more!
We want to help celebrate by cuddling this pup all day long.
15. Fabulous phone call
What great news this pup and its owners received!
After treatment, he won his battle and can now bring joy to his owners for years to come.
