15 hilarious and creative photos of people trying to get sell mirrors

It’s one of those unexpected pleasures in life – finding an entire genre of photos that are strangely amusing but you had no idea existed.

For us, it was photos of people trying to sell their mirrors. It’s a gold mine of strangeness!

The lengths that people will go to in order to make their mirror look appealing, as well as the trouble some of them won’t go through to get a decent photo, could keep us entertained for hours.

From bad reflections to creative photography, here are 15 of our favorite Craigslist ads of people trying to sell mirrors:

1. Haunted mirror

Nailed it. Now they’ll never know who you are.

But do you have to promise a free exorcism with purchase?

2. We’ve lost trust

Buddy, what happened to your neck?

We might know why those side mirrors are for sale and are a little suspicious of how well they work.

Now we want to see the rest of the car.

3. Nice try

Dude, c’mon, just get the shot at an angle.

At least the mirror is older than the camera – but both look pretty vintage to us.

4. Mirror or magic gateway?

Now THIS we would buy.

We’ve always wanted our own secret gateway to Narnia and we simply don’t have room for a wardrobe.

5. Not from a pet-free home

“Pet-free, smoke-free” is the phrase many buyers look for when purchasing second-hand items.

Even if we didn’t have allergies, we’d want to give this a good scrub before bringing it in.

6. Family photo

The gang’s all here!

We’re not sure why they all needed to be in the photo when at least two of them could have moved to the side, but whatever.

Thank goodness we didn’t miss out on this intimate glimpse inside their home.

7. Perfect timing

That’s a lot of work to go through just to make sure your hand isn’t showing.

We’re impressed.

8. We assure you it works

This person could have easily taken the coveted photo without their own reflection that others have tried so hard to master.

But it looks like they just felt like it was necessary to prove that it does reflect humans.

At least you’d know you weren’t purchasing it from a vampire.

9. Reflections of shame

Aww, poor pup.

We almost want to buy it just to help out with the vet bills.

10. Now that’s impressive

Painting or mirror?

The latter, actually!

How long do you think it took to set up this shot? And do you think half the people who saw it online even realized it was a mirror?

11. Trade you for a shirt

This mirror has been through some trauma.

Would it have killed this guy to get dressed before snapping a pic?

12. Wait, which one’s for sale?

Shirts, people. What do you have against shirts?!

This poor guy clearly has no idea he’s being doubly reflected.

We blame whoever posted this online without some cropping.

Well, now you know.

14. Mint condition

We’re skeptical.

We’d rather see your feet and know there’s not a big ol’ crack in the center.

15. Problem solved(ish)

Seriously people, why not just set it on the floor?

Although we have to admit it’s a much better photo this way. And at least we have the man for scale!
