German Shepherds have a very dynamic history with people. They were originally bred and used as sheep herding dogs but, because of their intelligence and trainability, they are now seen serving as disability assistants, police, military, and search and rescue dogs.

People love the German Shepherd breed as family pets, too.

The breed is now the 2nd most-registered by the American Kennel Club. They are popular for all the reasons mentioned, but also because they are absolutely adorable and love to be a part of a family.

Here are 15 of the cutest reasons to extend your family:

1) Barry White

We all know the typical coat worn by German Shepherds but, did you know they can also wear white? No guarantees Barry can sing, but he could be a great snuggler.
