15 photos that show just how satisfying a before and after cleaning picture can be

Whether it’s a pressure wash or the application of some good old fashioned elbow grease, we can’t deny that life is better when things are nice and clean.

There’s nothing wrong with a little dirt here and there, but when things haven’t been cleaned for a century or are otherwise out of control or unhealthy, it’s time to blow away that grime.

Check out these 15 satisfying photos of a job well done:

1. Would you like caked-on grease with that?

When a McDonald’s employee was transferred to a new location, he was shocked to see the condition of their deep fryers, so he decided to scrub them down.

We’re not lovin’ those “before” fryers.

2. Filth hoarders

An Imgur user posted these photos of before and after the cleaning of the bathroom of a hoarder (and this is AFTER they removed most of the trash!). We’d say this person’s problems didn’t stop at hoarding.

It’s hard to believe someone lived in a place with a bathroom like this.

3. Patio powerwash

There are few things that bring more instant gratification than a good pressure wash.

Check out this patio, for starters. It looks brand new after getting all that dirt, grime, and moss blasted off.

4. Brand new brick

We had to look very closely to make sure this was the same set of bricks and not an entirely new walkway.

Who knew those bricks could be so red? It almost looks like they painted them, but they’re actually just clean.

5. A century of dirt

It’s so rewarding to look at great architecture, but even more so when you can see it the way the builder intended instead of covered with decades worth of pollution and grime.

This is basically power washing porn.

6. No stone left uncleaned

Power wash everything! Even the stones!

Is anyone else looking up the price of their very own pressure washer yet? They’re under $200 and we might put one on our Christmas list at this point.

7. Waterfront wash

With all the moisture from being on the water, it can be hard to keep things clean and free of moss.

But the rewards are great when you get around to tidying things up!

8. Stairway (halfway) to heaven

This Reddit user got a free clean when a pressure washing company started their project and then realized they were at the wrong address.

At this point, we’d almost wish we hadn’t seen the possibilities if we were these homeowners. How can you not pay them to come back?

9. True colors

While we might not be into the clown-colored bricks, it must be nice to know that all that dirt and dust are gone – at least until it starts to build up again the next day.

10. Platinum polish

This platinum ring hadn’t been cleaned in 20 years, according to the original poster.

It’s hard to believe this came out so clean and shiny. What looks like nicks in the metal were actually just dents in the grime!

11. What color is it anyway?

These homeowners always assumed that their roof was blackish.

Imagine their surprise after the first spray of the pressure washer.

12. Begrimed bench

Have people been sitting on that all this time? We kind of hope it just came out of storage.

But as you can see, the materials that make up this now (partially) beautiful bench can be restored to their former glory.

13. Filthy feline

While we do like the “weathered” look, we can’t get over just how dirty the lion statue on the left is.

This is one cat that appreciated its bath!

14. Dingy driveway

Of course a driveway is going to get dirty – but it deserves a cleaning once in a while.

Just think of how often you can get out that new pressure washer after winter is over!

15. Wash that wood

This deck hadn’t been cleaned since 1987.

You could bring your kids back to show them some of the dirt you dragged in when you were a kid if you lived in this house.
