15 teens who rocked their mom’s vintage prom dress and looked absolutely amazing

There is something very touching about when a daughter wears their mother’s dress to prom. When all the other kids are spending a fortune on new dresses, these loving daughters are choosing to forgo their own in order to pay homage to the past.

Below are 15 daughters who rocked their mom’s dress to prom.

The 80s have returned.

There’s not a lot from the 1980s that you can bring into the modern world but evidently this dress is one of them. While Mom probably thought she was rocking a look similar to Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach” phase, the daughter just thinks she’s being retro and cool.

From the 60s to the future.

Think of the long lifespan this dress has had. It’s been worn since before cameras could truly do it justice all the way to now, when photos of it can be splashed all over social media.

This dress went 25 years and one generation between proms. The classic black dress doesn’t look like it has aged a day. We’re certain mom was thrilled to see it get more use.

It fits her daughter perfectly.

A fairly standard white prom dress worked out just fine for Mom back in her day and now her daughter can enjoy it as well.

Mom rocked the red dress, red hair and glasses look back in her day and now her daughter is doing the same.

You can’t go wrong with black.

While the daughter in this photo isn’t quite ready to rock her Mom’s 80s retro hair style, she’ll put on the same little black dress and heels.

“I’ll wear the dress but not the gloves, mom!”

This black and white dress looks stunning in any era but evidently the daughter was not interested in wearing the long white gloves that her mother rocked back in the day. When will the long white glove look come back???

There is not much you can accomplish as a teenager that will still matter decades later. Mom made this dress herself when she was only 17, however, and now her daughter can wear it to prom as well.

Why get a new dress when mom’s old one fits like this?

The daughter in this photo was not impressed with the dress she ordered online. She found a perfectly suitable replacement in her mom’s closet, however.

Stylish and timeless.

Mom and daughter certainly do look alike. Mom looked stunning in her prom dress so it stands to reason that her daughter would as well.

Bold and eye-catching.

Mom and daughter might be wearing the same dress but they clearly have different attitudes about it. Mom seems less than impressed but daughter seems to be having a great time in the dress.

While her daughter wasn’t going to go with the 80s big hair look Mom had at her prom, she was willing to wear the same little blue dress!

Classic satin red dress.

This classic satin red dress was perfect in the 80s and remains so today. In fact, in two decades or so there could even be a granddaughter wearing it.

Both daughters love this dress.
