15 most wholesome rescue dog photos from last month
Dogs bring a new level of joy to our homes. That’s what we are all looking for since we are spending so much time in our houses these days.
People want companionship more than ever, and people are adopting like crazy. The number of available animals at shelters is currently very low. So we can all be happy to know that, it seems more than ever, animals are finding their forever homes.
The pandemic has changed a lot of lives, as we know, mostly in a negative way. But looking into the cracks, you can see some silver linings.
This is one of them. Enjoy these 15 photos of dog rescues who found their new homes with their new forever families last month.
1) The gift
This is the ultimate double-whammy when it comes to cuteness overload! Just look at this adorable pair! From the intense gaze into each other’s eyes, it’s looking like love at first sight.
2) Aggressive
This dog was headed for death row for being too aggressive. Obviously, this dog can’t be trusted…unless, of course, it’s with his two feline besties who know how to keep him in check. Now he’s overflowing with love!
3) Those puppy-dog eyes
This is Pickles. He’s been adopted by his new family. It looks like he couldn’t be happier in his new yard, taking in the sun.
4) Rescue a senior dog
This is Jake, a 7-year-old lab. He’s been in 4 homes in the last year and is riddled with anxiety. These wonderful people have now given him a permanent home, and he can finally start to relax.
5) It’s a good day
World, meet Joey. This cute little doggo just can’t contain his excitement right before he leaves the kennels to take his freedom ride home with his new family, and neither can we.
6) He saved me
Look at the way this adorable little dog is staring up at his new daddy in awe. That is the cutest look of pure love we have ever seen. We think that this guy can expect a lot of loyalty from his new furbaby.
7) Snooze ya lose!
This sweetie was found wandering around a small neighborhood. Apparently she had been doing so for weeks without anyone coming to claim her, but it’s too late now! She has found her furever family all on her own and even got herself a name; Juno.
8) A dream come true
Not too many people have the capacity for more than one dog. So this is a dream come true for two puppies to be adopted together and know they will be with each other for their whole lives.
9) The happiest little Husky
How could anyone ever say no to a gorgeous Husky? Well, apparently some people are just off their rockers because this poor fella has bounced from one home to another all his life until he landed right where he was supposed to be. Something about that look tells us he’s more than satisfied with the outcome, though.
10) An arrow straight through the heart
Did this human ever stand a chance of NOT adopting this little cutie when she saw him? The answer is no. No, she did not.
11) It’s a mutt
And they are the best. This is a German shepherd and Australian cattle dog mix. It will have tons of energy for the rest of its life. Haha, his owners are in for some serious adventures!
12) Adventure ready
Meet Teriyaki. This cutie was badly neglected on the farm he first came from and didn’t even know what it was like to lay on something soft. Clearly, his new humans remedied that right away and now he’s more than comfortable cozying up in his car bed before he goes on all his new adventures!
13) He found a home that cares
This little guy was found running on the road. He was taken to the vet to have his chip scanned, and they contacted the owner. They said they didn’t care about him and had dumped the little guy. So, meet Wilson. Pictured in his new home.
14) Popeye the rescue
This dog may only have one eye, but that’s more than enough to see how much his new humans love him. And how could they not? When a dog looks like he’s winking at you, it’s pretty much a universal sign for “adopt me now”.
15) The model dog
This pup is so cute that we’re not quite sure he’s even a dog. There is some heavy speculation he is, in fact, the world’s cutest little badger. While we’re pretty sure he’s a pup, we’ve decided the woodland critter can be whatever he wants to be now that he has a family to love him without end.
These rescue photos from last month are just a glimpse, we hope, into all the wholesome pics to come in the ongoing lockdown.
