Woman in traffic sees 2 pit bulls staring at her — then spots strange movement between them

Dogs are a common sight in many vehicles on roads across the U.S. Usually drivers are alerted to their presence when they pop their heads out of the window or start barking. A ride in the car is a perfect excuse to go out for many dogs who just can’t seem to get enough of the wind in their face and the new sights they see.

One dog lover got the shock of her life when she spotted two dogs while stopped in traffic. What happened next gave her quite a surprise.

As the woman sat in traffic waiting for it to clear up, she happened to glance at the car next to her. Sticking out of the window were two pit bulls, looking around at what was going on around them. They seemed to see the woman as she rolled down her window to say hello.

She couldn’t help herself as she gave a big hello to the two dogs. One of the dogs is caught by surprise with the loud greeting and started to duck back inside.

The woman starts to roll up her window to not startle the two. Then she sees movement behind the two.

Before you know it, a third head is forcing its way between the two other dogs as a third pit bull appears. Initially, this seems to scare the woman half to death as she screams in shock. But she soon recovers as she laughs, greeting the other dog as well.

The woman’s reaction was priceless. Who can blame the one dog for getting scared initially as the woman was loud? I guess they wanted to give her a surprise of their own in return.

Ways to keep your dog safe in the car

If you decide to take your dog with you in the car, make sure that they are properly secured to keep them safe. Just like you and your passengers want to be buckled up in case of an accident, so too should you buckle in your dog.

Unfortunately, a regular seatbelt is not the best fit for your dog’s body. That is why someone came up with a special dog restraint, which allows you to more easily secure your dog in your vehicle. These belts loop around your car’s seatbelt and clip to a harness on your dog.

You can also use a zipline harness, which gives your dog some mobility in the backseat. Another alternative is to place your dog in a crate, which you can then place in the backseat or the back if you have a hatchback or truck.

As you can see, you have many options for keeping your dog safe while driving with them in the car. And in many cases, they can still move around and stick their head out of the window, just like the trio of dogs in the funny story above.
