20 cats that aren’t afraid to show the dogs who’s boss
Cartoons have taught us that dogs and cats spend most of their time chasing each other, but are they such sworn enemies in real life?! Those who own both cats and dogs can confirm that there are some hilarious situations where a small cat is capable of bossing a much bigger dog around.
Here are some funny examples to prove the point.
1. Who are these scary giants?!
We see four tiny kittens and a much bigger dog running away from them. Itâs more than obvious that they canât hurt the dog, but he didnât feel that way. Suddenly, there wasnât enough room on the floor, and the dog jumped to a chair. All the while the kittens were probably just curious and wanting to play.
2. Wake up or Iâm going to wake you up, and you wonât like it!
Do you know those scenes where a villain chokes someone, and the whole acting is overdone? The eyes are just about to eject from the skull, the tongue is poking out, and the feeling of agony is written all over the victimâs face. Well â here you have the pretty much same thing. Itâs just that the cat looks like sheâs choking the dog, and you wouldnât expect that. The nasty whisker is sitting on the dogâs chest, and the dog doesnât seem to be enjoying it at all.
3. Itâs fine down here!
The owner said in the photo description that itâs an obstacle his dog faces every day. Well, if heâs always so hesitant about going up, maybe he should stay on the bottom floor. We would only wish to see the situation from the other angle, just to inspect if the catâs face is really that scary?! Maybe the cat jumped on the dog a few times he tried to go up, and he already knows whatâs going to happen. Either way, they are glancing at each other and not moving.
4. Your bad, my bed!
Now, this is an example of an unfair situation. The cat took over the dogâs bed, and he canât fit in her bed. Swapping of places is not quite possible. Even if it was, we bet that the dog would react the same way – just like the kid when you take their toy! Doggy is clearly upset and you can see it in the photograph.
5. Another bed situation!
Just one look at the picture and youâll realize that somethingâs off. The smaller bed space is designed for a cat, but she took the dogâs bed instead. The bigger one. The dog was forced to curl up in the kittyâs place, and thereâs the feeling of injustice written all over his face. However, to claim back his spot is not an option.
6. A kitten-vampire!
The kitty was creeping from the shadows and attacked when the dog least expected it. Thatâs what we were able to conclude. The duo looks as if they are trying to recreate the scene from some vampire movie. Itâs the look on the dogâs face that gets us every time. Heâs so scared, but the kitty is not biting too hard, after all.
7. Cat, please stop!
First, we have to tell you that these two are named Copper and Cooper. Cooper is the dog. Looks like the Copper is not too gentle when petting poor Cooper, and heâs praying for it to stop.
8. Donât worry, Iâll give you a proper facelift!
One thing we learned from all these photos is that dogs canât have a moment of peace when the cat is around the house. Look at this feline, sitting on a doggyâs head. He was probably about to take a nap, but the cat wasnât having it. Sheâs biting the poor thingâs face as if she was trying to make sure he wonât be able to close his eyes. Or maybe she was really giving the dog some kind of facelift. Who knows?!
9. Where do you think youâre going?
A dog was on his way to enter the home, but not that fast. A cat is sitting in the way, and itâs extremely funny that the dog doesnât dare to try and pass. A cat-boss!
10. âSeriously man, that mouse was soooo big!â
When we tell you that the kittenâs name is Godzilla, things will clear up a bit. The furry little one is in the role, thatâs for sure. A poor dog can only hope for mercy. Just look at how the kitty sat down and threw those paws in the air. Adorable, but not frightening. At least not for us, doggo is another story.
11. Hand the bone over!
This Persian cat is a little thief, she stole the dogâs bone and proceeded to enjoy it all alone. The dog is too nice to claim it back, heâs just looking at his treat in someone elseâs hands. Or paws, to be precise. The owner should consider getting a bone for the cat, too. However, weâre not quite sure that it would solve the problem. The cat would probably claim the dogâs bone anyway. Itâs a lot sweeter when it belongs to someone else.
12. No, no, I wasnât trying to go down, I just love being on stairs!
You see, itâs tricky when you try to go downstairs, and thereâs a cat in your way. What a dog is supposed to do? Look at the fear on the Dalmatianâs face. Again, we would have loved it if there was a photo of that scary meow facial expression. Maybe then the fear would be understandable.
13. The cat-stair camouflage!
Wow, that lion lookalike is beautiful. The catâs color blends with the color of the stairs perfectly, but the dog spotted it anyway and it scared him quite a bit. Seems like he wonât be able to go downstairs as long as that scary creature is blocking the passage.
14. Little kitten knows karate!
Look at the dog, heâs terrified of the kitty. The fact that the little puss is ten times smaller doesnât help a bit. Do you know why? Because itâs a karate cat. See that crane kick thatâs about to happen. Who wouldnât run away?!
15. The dog felt the âIf it fits, I sitsâ thing
The owner called the cat âthe dog sitter.â Poor doggy, he has to put up with being a sofa. It wouldnât be so bad if the cat chose to rest on the dogâs tummy or his back. Thereâs plenty of space there. The head is not equally as suitable.
16. The hug!
Maybe âthe clinchâ would be a better description. The dog doesnât seem to be enjoying it much, but the kitty has to show whoâs the man of the house.
17. Iâll make sure that you donât have a good time here!
Owners took a picture of their new pet, and the little dog seems to be enjoying the attention. On the other hand, there is someone in the background whoâs not loving any part of it. That stare scared us a bit, too. Seems like the doggy will have to watch his back.
18. Whereâs the dog?
Cat: âOh, trust me human! The dog is very comfortable under this blanket, with me sitting on him! I swear on all of my whiskers!â
Owner: âBut he canât breathe!â
Cat: âSays who?!â
19. Didnât you want a piercing?!
Weâre probably looking at one of the most patient dogs ever. This cat seems like an adventurous little one. Sheâs even trying to pierce the doggoâs ear, and he puts up with it all.
20. Run, run!
A senior dog is trying to have a well-deserved rest. Heâs not bothering anyone, but the cat just canât leave him alone. Look at the little nasty kitten, sneaking from behind. Letâs hope that no damage was done.
