Just as people seem to click with certain other people, so are different humans drawn to particular dog breeds. From the minis to the massive, there is a dog breed out there for everyone. More than just their size or the markings of their coat, though, it is often their personalities and particular “tendencies” that makes people fall in love with them.

For the big dog lovers out there, every one of them can tell you that large breeds tend to think that they’re actually small. They love to climb all over you and believe there’s no such thing as “personal space”. Here are 20 photos of dogs that have no idea how insanely BIG they are.

1. There’s always room for me, mom

World, meet Lincoln. Apparently, Lincoln thinks he’s a big ol’ lap baby. Even though he’s way bigger than his mom, he knows he can always fit in her lap.

2. You can still see the TV, right?

The same goes for this Great Dane. He may be enormous, but he will never let that get in the way of hanging out in dad’s lap while they watch the tube.

3. The true meaning of cozy

If you’re looking for the ultimate snuggle partner, look no further than the Irish Wolfhound. They are massive, fluffy, and full of love to give. It doesn’t even matter if you’re bed is too small. They’ll just crawl right up on top of you and smother you with puppy love.

This poor guy is trying his best to snuggle up with his hooman, but that damn chair is so uncomfortable. We can’t blame him for trying, though. Believe it or not, this big fella is still just a puppy!

This is Otis and, believe it or not, he is still just a young puppy. He is only 7-months-old in this picture and already weighs 90 pounds! None of that has been enough to convince him that he is too big to be in mom’s lap though.

If there is one thing that’s certain about large dogs, it’s that their hearts are as big as their body. No matter how huge they grow, they still want to be right in their human’s lap… no matter how small that lap might be.

Just for reference, the man in the photo is 6’3″. The gorgeous giant just loves to give lap hugs though and doesn’t mind if she outweighs her friends or even if she towers over them. Just so long as they don’t let go, she is a happy camper.

Talk about a therapy dog! This Newfie knows that when her human is trying to have a think, he does it better with a partner on his lap. It looks like these two are solving the problems of the world together.

These humongous hairballs are living proof that when it comes to being a lapdog, size doesn’t matter at all.
