Getting picked up from the airport is asking a lot. The parking, the people, the waiting…it’s a real pain.

But these weary travelers had a friend or family member willing to make the journey – they just did it with a sense of humor.

Check out the signs these folks brought with them to greet those returning. Some of them might have us turning right back around and boarding the next flight out of there!

1. Commando kids

Just what every mom needs – a reminder of all the laundry she has to do once she gets home.

We just hope she got to relax while she was away!

2. Breakout

That’s what friends are for, right? To embarrass the heck out of you in public?

No doubt more than one person got a kick out of these two. And they probably got more than one glance from security as well.

3. In a pickle

Hey, if you don’t want to be picked up by a friend dressed in a pickle costume, just take a cab next time.

But maybe Trevor is too big a “dill” to find his own ride home.

4. Welcome home

The person who posted this photo wrote: “My friend just got home from a trip. This was her family greeting her at the airport.”

Nice touch. We’re sure she’s REALLY glad to be back from that trip now.

5. Ruh-roh

Yikes!

Do you think the person it was meant for read it and knew it was for them?

They can probably expect to find all of their stuff out on the lawn when they get home.

6. Someone’s in trouble

We hope this man’s parents have a good sense of humor, especially mom!

But we imagine if you raise someone who would play this kind of trick, you can probably take a joke like this.

7. Warm welcome

It’s always nice to see a familiar face when you get off the airplane. Unless they’re holding a sign calling you an idiot.

We assume that’s a term of endearment between this woman and her friend.

8. Brotherly love

Oh, brother!

This man greeted his brother at the airport with a sign meant to make him blush.

We just hope no one who has been to rehab saw it.

9. Brothers, Part II

Apparently, you can’t ask your brother to pick you up from the airport like a normal person.

Do you think you’d walk up to the person holding this sign – or walk right past until they dropped it?

10. Cute face, mean sign

We just can’t reconcile this adorable face with the sign he’s holding.

But that smile will at least soften the blow if whoever they’re greeting doesn’t have a great sense of humor.

11. Grandchild antics

These grandkids are eager to get in on the family pranks. At least this kid is old enough to know what his sign says.

We just hope he’s not old enough to form any mental pictures yet.

12. That’s what friends are for

Well, that’s one way to keep people from following you into the bathroom.

13. Mom’s going to need another vacation

This mom is coming home to her loving – and sarcastic – family.

Let’s just hope she gets a good laugh out of her greeting and doesn’t turn right back around on the next plane out of there!

14. Sugar daddy

Is her “sugar daddy” trolling her back by wearing that shirt or does he not keep enough money to buy himself a regular wardrobe? We kid – the shirt is hysterical.

We’re just glad these two were reunited.

15. Body positive

We hope Katie has a good attitude about her body.

This sign teeters on the inappropriate, but at least the sign-makers look pretty amused by their antics.

16. Ingrates

These kids are picking up their parents from the airport with a lighthearted prank.

If you raise these 3, you’re certainly prepared for these kind of antics, right?

17. Hope that’s not a surprise

Well, we hope that’s not the way a new dad found out his wife was pregnant!

But if it was, we can’t help but snicker a little bit.

We’d probably hop in a cab after seeing this sign.

This ride would probably feel a lot longer than 2 hours.

19. Welcome to where now?

This sign doesn’t seem all that obnoxious until you realize they’re at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

We wonder just how many jet-lagged travelers they confused with this one!

20. Bearded lady

This person was picking up their significant other at the airport when they decided to go all-in on embarrassing him.

We imagine he’s come to expect these kinds of antics – this isn’t a first-time joke to play on someone!
