According to fast food employees, here are the top 20 items you should definitely avoid

Even though we all know that fast food isn’t particularly good for you and doesn’t classify as a healthy meal, it can sure be convenient and tasty sometimes. Who doesn’t have the urge to order a box of pizza after a long day at work, when you’re not in the mood for cooking?

Despite the fact that in general, fast food isn’t healthy, there are some particular items that are quite popular but a lot worse for your body than you might think. Some of the fast-food chain employees have even exposed these products on the internet, and we’ve compiled a list of the top 20 popular fast food items you should really stop ordering.

1) Fries at Five Guys

This is actually a very popular item and perhaps one of the most popular, but it’s definitely worth mentioning in this list. The meat is actually a sort of paste that’s dried in the oven, and if that doesn’t sound bad, there’s always a chance you end up with leftovers of the day before.

4) Beans at Taco John’s

An employee of a Taco John’s restaurant claimed that beans aren’t exactly fresh, as they’re on a warmer the entire day. When it gets too dry, they just add more water. Doesn’t exactly sound delicious, does it?

Admittedly, the picture alone will say a lot more than a thousand words here – there’s no way that all that cheese can be possibly good for your body. Even though it’s ‘just’ a hot dog, this special version still amounts to 370 calories and contains over 20 grams of fat.

Apparently, the eggs that are used at Einstein’s Bagels aren’t always fresh, and you can definitely tell by the taste. Eggs are put in the microwave and warmed up as they’re needed – not very appetizing.

Chick-Fil-A is known for its great service and people are usually very happy about the food quality as well, but some employees have reported that the grill isn’t always cleaned properly in between orders – which makes things quite difficult for people who order gluten-free meals.

10) Slurpees

You can usually find these at gas stations, and there are actually two reasons why you should steer away from them. First of all, their sugar content is incredibly high, but these machines also don’t get cleaned very often.

11) John’s Favorite at Papa John’s

Even though this tasty pizza might be John’s favorite, it’s the exact opposite for nutritionists. These pizzas filled with sausages, six different kinds of cheese, and pepperoni are basically screaming calorie overload. Just a single slice contains 410 of them.

12) Charbroiled Monster Thickburger at Hardee’s

Genuine Kentucky Source: Genuine Kentucky

Jimmy John’s Iced Tea can sure taste delicious, but there are a lot of people who say you should avoid the refreshing drink when it starts getting late because the container only gets cleaned out once a day. As a result, your drink can potentially be a little bit gooey.

15) Taco’s at Chipotle

Unlike most other items in this list, this isn’t a warning particularly for the healthiness of the food, but more of an economical warning. You see, tacos usually contain a lot less meat and ingredients than a burrito, at the same price.

16) Grand Slamwich at Denny’s

Trip Advisor Source: Trip Advisor

17) Pad Thai at P.F. Chang’s

Pinterest Source: Pinterest

19) Chicken Rice Bowl at Bojangle’s

Pinterest Source: Pinterest

A chicken rice bowl that’s unhealthy, now that seems a bit weird, doesn’t it? The combination of these two ingredients can definitely be healthy, but Bujonagle’s adds a lot of stuff that might add some flavor but is definitely not good for you. The 1,1130 calories in a single bowl can attest to that.

20) Fish Sandwich at Burger King

Grub Grade Source: Grub Grade

Let’s face it – Burger King is known for its meat, and not for its fish products. There’s a reason why the fish sandwich isn’t very popular, as a lot of people will agree it’s not the tastiest and freshest product on the menu.
