As pet owners, we all have our fair share of vet stories. Whether you have an overly dramatic Siberian husky who howls at contact or a labrador who bolted out the moment he saw his doctor, we cannot deny that these trips will not run out of adorable antics. Just to show you that you’re not alone with your pet conundrum, here’s a list of pets who may have had a rather fun day at the vet.

1. Maybe they’ll send me home if I close my eyes

A veterinarian shared this photo on Reddit and said this miniature foal just fell asleep on his feet. If it’s dodging the monthly check-up or that minor surgery, we say its doing a pretty adorable job. Maybe the doctors will go away once it opens its eyes?

This mom is sure proud of her kids and she’s pretty proud of herself too! Just look at that self-assuring wink for a job well done. It almost feels like she knows exactly what to do when the camera’s on.

3. “Thank you”

We can only wish to understand what animals are saying. But in times we don’t, animals can still find a way to communicate what they feel. This vet shared this is how this dog expressed his gratitude.

4. “Am I okay, doc?”

Pretty hard to hear the heartbeats when you can also listen to the remix of the roiling stomach fluids. I don’t know which one’s funnier, the size of the stethoscope in relation to the mouse or its panicked expression. You’ll be just fine, buddy!

5. A tool for every discerning vet

That’s not a kitten. It’s a medical support kit in a form of a small cat. Can ease stress, anxiety, and jitters. Can fit inside small scrub suit pockets. Will always behave when you do operations on animals. 10/10 will recommend to a friend.

6. Goat-size drip

Yes, this is a baby goat. And yes, it has a shirt on. Please don’t stress him out so much about what brand it is. He’s trying to get his milk. All he knows is it fits his snuggly size perfectly.

7. No beds, no problem

If the vet runs out of kennels to house their patients, a trusty lower drawer will do just fine. Look at how comfy this pile of fluff is. I guess the paperwork would have to find a new place to park in.

8. All smiles!

The vet can be a stressful time for pets so we’re not surprised if this pooch pulled this face when they turned to the clinic and not the dog park. All smiles, buddy! It’s for your health!

9. Unhand me!

Like kids who throw a fit, this little reptile was all snappy with its jaws. He had to be strapped on a towel burrito so he can be operated on in peace. You just know he hates every bit of it but it’s for his own good. Also, the towel burrito maneuver did not hurt him in any way.

10. Cuddle buddies

The vet staff explained that he was helping this big loaf of golden fluff recover from the anesthesia. While we believe his excuse, we also think that he’s getting too many a cuddle from this good boy. When can we have our turn?

11. Post-op care

These kind-hearted people get to spend their days helping out our pets. So it’s only fair that they get their share of love from their patients. Does the space look cramped? Yes. Do we want in? Double yes.

12. The doctor will see you now

When a cat wants to go to the vet, that doesn’t always mean they’re good boys or girls. Sometimes, they go because they have a patient to take care of. Better not be late for surgery!

13. That’s quite a handful!

Being a vet also means you’re going to have to treat mother animals and their litter. But no one’s complaining even if this vet obviously has not enough hands to carry all of these adorable kittens.

This is definitely a case of a fortune cookie dilemma! The dog must’ve been super satisfied to see the human wear the cone of shame, while he does what he thinks vets do best — checking charts or using the listening “thingy”.

Some vets are also lucky enough to work with these adorable wildlife animals. While these creatures are often attributed with danger and aggression, that doesn’t mean they can’t receive the care they need. Just look at those eyes!

This Redditors step-dad had one of the strangest patients. Let’s just say everyone’s praying to avoid the “spraying”. Hope the guy got out without a stink!

The parents of these Maine coons must’ve been so proud on how their children behaved at the doctor’s. It’s almost like those big background photos in your dining room.

It’s no secret that animals hate visiting the vet. But this little kitten took that hate to a different level. Look at how she’s already planning a daring escape and an elaborate sabotage after her health checkup.

Vets do a tough job to make sure our beloved pets get home safe and healthy. They not only receive the gratitude of pet owners but of the pets themselves. We say, this vet deserves all those sloppy kisses!
