Mechanics have some of the craziest stories out there. In America, nearly everyone needs to have a car in order to get to work or school. As a result, people need lots of work done on their cars! We all know how insane people can be and that applies to how they treat their cars as well. Want to see some of the most ridiculous photos that mechanics have taken of their jobs? 1. A bug in the system

Normally, saying there’s a “bug” in the system means there is just something that isn’t working. In this case, there was an actual CAT in the system. Maybe we should start saying that instead? This little guy was stuck in the engine block.

2. Under the seat

Imagine working on a car and you look up to see two sets of eyes staring at you. This guy brought in his dogs and left them in the car while it was worked on. At least the mechanic has emotional support!

3. Robbed

When the mechanic went to take a look under the car, it was clear what the problem was. Someone literally stole the copper elements from underneath the vehicle! No wonder it sounded so weird.

4. It’s a rental

I don’t know how this even happens. You would have to have gone flat and then hopped onto the highway for an hour in order to shred a tire like this. There is no way this person didn’t notice.

5. Kinda screwed

It’s one thing for a screw to pop a tire. It’s another for that same screw to puncture all the way through the rim and out the other side! How in the world did that even happen?!

6. Who needs to see their speedometer?

This individual wanted some added comfort on their steering wheel. Like lots of people, they put a cover on it. Funny enough, they seem to get a lot more speeding tickets after they did that.

7. Tips

This girl paid for her 1k repair bill with her tip money from working at Sonic. It was paid with mostly 1 and 4 dollar bills! That’s some serious commitment.

8. Temp gauge is full tank

The customer described the issue as “the temperature gauge is reading full”. Yes, it’s just full of degrees, unfortunately.

9. Important directions

At least they understand their audience! This lift kit came with instructions and was very clear that they knew people wouldn’t want to read it. The threat of multiple transmission reinstalls will DEF get people to read it, however!

10. Car eggs

Her car was probably making a chirping sound. When the mechanic popped the hood, he immediately saw the problem and it wasn’t going to be cheep…cheep.

11. Sneaky customer

“Sometimes, customers have something up their sleeves. This one was pretty hilarious. Just in for an inspection & was greeted with this…”

Now that is a great way to make a mechanic laugh!

12. It probably does!

Unless you are driving a sports car, it makes TOTAL sense that your car is vibrating at 130 mph – not 130 kph, mind you, but literally double the speed limit of most places in the United States.

13. “A bit shakey”

I guess they didn’t have a spare! Imagine seeing this dude FLYING down the highway, no tire on his rim. The sparks were definitely flying. What a world.

14. Layers on layers

“A sweet old lady asked me to apply her 2018 license plate decal today as she couldn’t kneel down to do it herself anymore.”

It’s like those painted rocks that are outside of schools and are painted 4-5 times a year. The paint is like a foot thick on those things!

15. Well, time to call the police

This person probably needs to go to rehab. These canisters are used for “whip-its” and if a person had this many in their car, it is a SERIOUS problem.

16. Ferrari battery location

Have a Ferrari but need to change the battery? Nope, replace the entire wheel. You basically can’t work on these cars unless you are a pro.

17. Tesla undercarriage

If you’ve ever wanted to see what the underside of a Tesla looks like, this is it! No mechanical bits, just flat. It is honestly pretty insane!

18. Need some new brakes

This person came into the shop looking for brakes, albeit a bit unconventionally. They “cruised” in and told them theirs is worn out. I don’t think anyone doubted them.

19. Lucky man

If a four-leaf clover is lucky, this dude should play the lottery! He had a clover growing out of his fender and if you count the leaves, it’s a lucky one! What are the odds of that happening, right?

20. “Police brought it back”

“I work at a rental company and the police brought this back…”

Who knows what this guy was doing. It says a lot that the police dropped the car off, not the dude who rented it. He is definitely in jail now (we have to assume).
