#QuarantineCats is trending on Twitter – Here are 20 of our favorite tweets
The Coronavirus outbreak has caused lockdowns world wide that now has most of us working from home. There are pros and cons to this lifestyle, especially as we’re navigating these new waters without much preparation. Our pets on the other hand, are used to this. Well, used to be left indoors all day. They’re not used to us hanging around 24/7.
The dogs are all loving it… but cats, always so moody, seem to be hot and cold on the subject.
Here’s how some are handling this new quarantine situation with their beloved owners.
1) This office-ready feline
This must have the other employees on the e-meetings absolutely melting. He looks so cute! I would hire him in a second.
Little bro is working from home and wanted his cat to look more "professional" when he appeared in the webcam during team (video) meetings so he bought him a set of ties. #QuarantineCats pic.twitter.com/WvgOD9FYUJ

2) These two having a meeting
I wonder what they’re meowing about. Discussing how to take over the world? Or maybe how to get their humans to leave the house and give them some space. Either way, it looks very very important.

3) These monsters
This literally hurts to look at now. Do these cats know what kind of world we’re all now living in? Do they know people are fighting to the death over precious TP? It’s basically currency these days.

4) Another little monster
What’s even crazier about this one, is that his owner has caught him in the act and keeps letting him go for it! Put that phone down and stop him, girl! She must be one of the ones who panic shopped and has a pantry full of back up rolls.
Waffles is blissfully unaware of his transgressions during this time of crisis! Guess I'll be using him to wipe my ass from now on. 🙄#QuarantineCats pic.twitter.com/Sm9T005DJu

5) This one who doesn’t believe in “me” time
What? You thought you could stay home with your cat, read, or use a keyboard without them trying to disrupt you and take all of your attention? That’s on you.

6) This one who’s fed up
Yes! You get ’em, girl. Even the cats know this is not the way to be handling the situation.

7) This future DJ
At least the cat will be providing some entertainment! It’ll keep you sane. Well, once she gets good, that is. Gotta support your kid’s dreams though right?

8) This future pianist
Another musically inclined feline! What if spending all this time in quarantine produces some of the most talented pets, and we live in a world with cat and dog bands. I am here for that. Keep training them please!

9) These experienced social distancers
We could learn a thing or two from these guys. Maybe I’ll start staring out the window at my neighbours until they notice me… just for something to do. Brilliant idea, Kittos.

10) This girl who can’t take a bath
This is such a Catch 22. Luckily, cats can’t contract COVID-19. But they’re constantly cleaning themselves anyway so out of all the pets (and people), I think they’ll be the least likely to spread anything anyway.
If only we humans were as diligent about hand washing as this kitty!

Experts: “Wash your paws and don’t touch your face.”
Ella: “Uhhh, no I can’t do that.”

11) This gamer
Ezzie and I have something in common. I haven’t been able to play so many video games since I was 12 years old. That’s one upside to this lockdown. An excuse to game, guilt-free. I wonder what he’s playing. Nintendogs + cats? A classic.

12) This employee who’s had enough
Rogue is going rogue! Judging by the look on her face, this is how we are alllll feeling at various points during the week.
It’s hard to tell if she’s quitting, or just wants to pop out for a quick lunch. I can’t handle how cute she looks in her little tie!

13) This sleepy cat
He definitely found a great isolation spot. Perfect for nap time. Who else looks like this when waking up 5 minutes before a conference call? It’s the work from home way.

14) This cat who’s got it all figured out
Honestly, if I had a human-sized sleeping ball like this, I would probably be happier in my quarantine as well. Cats are so-well prepared for self-isolation, it’s a skill we all need right now.
For Meredith, self quarantining is a way of life. Be like Meredith. #QuarantineCats pic.twitter.com/yEHJ5c5oFi

15) This cat who’s almost there
Come on, you have to wash for 20 seconds! And here’s a hot tip: you can sing “Smelly Cat” by Phoebe Buffay to help you get the timing right.
He doesn’t look too happy about it, does he?
I told him he needs to wash his paws for at least 20 seconds 🐾 He hasn’t figured it out yet#QuarantineCats pic.twitter.com/0IAKxAsSES

16) These Pokemon
Firstly, can we talk about the fact that these cats are named Charmander and Togepi? Those are Pokémon… and I didn’t know it until now but I am a fan of these names for cats.
Chamander keeping the boots from being worn is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s like he can’t believe his luck and doesn’t want his human to think about leaving anytime soon!
Lucky for him… you might not be.

17) These cats following the rules
That looks about 6 ft to me, right? Cats are very good at protecting their personal space. It’s like they were made for self-quarantine!
https://twitter.com/JeanConnell9/status/1239590969693147136
18) This cat breaking the rules
Either this cat is giving some love to the dog… or she’s trying to kill him. Maybe she’s heard that the coronavirus is spread through close proximity, and is trying to make it as close as physically possible.
I’m not saying all cats are this diabolical… but I’m also not saying they aren’t.

19) This new mama
I would literally die to have a stray cat and some kittens wander into my life right now. Is there any better way to take your mind off the state of the world than with some new purring babies? No, there is not.
A stray cat got bored with social-distancing and had kittens in the dog’s crate in our garage.. how’s your quarantine going? #QuarantineCats pic.twitter.com/QQGEMoyItz

20) This big cat
Wow! That’s quite the site to see in your yard.
He’s probably heard all about Tiger King and is trying to get as far away from Joe Exotic as possible. And bonus: you can use this bobcat to keep your husband from getting on your nerves. Just threaten to pull a Carole Baskin.
So #quarantinecats is trending and we technically don’t have a cat. But we have a bobcat who visited this morning 🙀😟 pic.twitter.com/devHbz4bl8
