Tattoos are much more prolific than they were a few decades ago. Now that they are pretty commonplace, it’s not uncommon to see everyone with a bit of ink somewhere on their bodies. Some of these expressions are the result of a wild night out, while others have some deep meaning and represent a lot of hidden emotion. Today, we are going to look at some of the coolest tattoos we could find that have meaning to match!

For people with alopecia, hair loss is pretty common. Not just on their head, either, but all over their bodies. This artist decided to give this person some beautiful permanent eyebrows!

2. Connection with her dad

When their dad died, this person decided to take an old picture of him and get a matching tattoo. They always wanted to go out and do it together and this was their way of making it happen.

This is an example of an artist at work. They took the tattoo from this person’s grandpa’s arm and recreated it on theirs! That is a super cool tattoo and a way to stay connected.

Losing a pet is never easy. It often feels like we lost a dear friend, regardless of the fact they aren’t human. This person decided to get a reminder of the friend she lost.

5. Remembering Grandma

Tea is very important at my Grandma’s house and everyone has an assigned teacup with a particular pattern. Mine is ‘Brigadoon’ Scottish Thistle. Certain designs scream different eras of time. To remember her grandma, this person decided to get a tattoo of the design on the cup she drank from every time she went over to Grandmas.

6. Post cars memories

My mother always had beautiful handwriting and wrote this at the end of every single card and letter. She passed in October. Done by Greg Duthie at Dead Gods Tattoo in Tigard, Oregon.

When this woman’s mom passed, she wanted to remember her. Her mom always put this signature at the end of every letter she sent and it made a perfect way for her to remember her.

7. Surgical butterflies

Scars can be viewed as battle wounds! This girl wanted to remember them in her own special way. She got butterflies tattooed over the scars from when she had her appendix removed.

13. A touching tribute

This is one of those bittersweet tattoos. Her dad passed a few years ago and she got something to remember him by. If you saw it at first, you might not know what it meant. Once you see his picture, however, it’s pretty clear.

19. Gotta keep things funny

This little picture is a great example of keeping a youthful heart. So many people try and fake like they’re not balding, but it’s usually obvious. This guy just took it in stride and made it a joke!
