Most people probably don’t even think about how things are made. So, you can imagine their surprise when they find out what is hidden inside the most ordinary of objects, whether it’s recycled materials, or something accidentally finding itself inside some of the most mundane objects.
Here are some everyday items that held a surprise hidden inside.
1. Hidden manga
Exactly how do they make mouse pads? Well, in this case, it was full of manga. With this mouse pad, maybe you could get some reading in while you work.
2. Ice cream cone inception
What could be better than an ice cream cone? Maybe an ice cream cone inside of an ice cream cone. Though, you might need to remove the paper first.
3. Playing along
When this lawn ornament was broken there was a surprise inside. The owner found a pig playing a guitar. Maybe he was pining for his day of freedom.
4. The power behind the throne
This is the last thing you would expect to find, a pawn within a queen. In truth though, don’t we all start in life as pawns, at least until we find out what we are destined to be?
5. Your knights are numbered
Here is another chess piece, this time with a six-sided dice inside. It makes you wonder why they would put such things in a playing piece. Maybe as a good luck charm?
6. Light me up
When this person opened up a large charcoal lighter, what did they find inside? A smaller lighter, which just goes to show that even the smallest of us can accomplish big things.
7. Ancient Chinese secret
Imagine the surprise of one Redditor when the spine of his journal broke and he found some Chinese sheet music underneath. One commenter was able to find the song on the sheet music on YouTube.
8. Doing the can-can
Who would expect to find a can within a can? The bigger question is how would you get to the can underneath once you discovered this? Hopefully, the drink is worth all of the trouble.
9. Dice games
It’s almost like having a backup dice. The way the pips are set up, it looks like it would be impossible to get snake eyes.

This person found a little heart in the stuffing of his dog’s Cookie Monster toy. The dog was probably as shocked as his owner.

While on the outside this little cactus seemed happy, deep down he was really sad. At least he did a good job of covering up his sadness, at least until it was revealed for all to see.

Who would have known that a 9-volt battery would contain more batteries? It makes sense though, six AAA batteries, which are shown here, produce about 1.5-volts each, equating to 9-volts total.

Imagine a group of archaeologists’ surprise when they found a 1,000-year-old Buddhist monk inside of a statue. Known as self-mummification, only 24 such mummies are known to exist.
14. Mosquito trap
Tape is known for its sticky properties. Eo, imagine the surprise of a group of workers when they pulled out a roll of tape, they had received, to find this.

Who wouldn’t love to know the story this bullet has to tell? Why was it shot and where did it come from? It is certainly a mystery for the ages.

Did you ever wonder what they put inside of things? Well, this iPad case was found to have some old toothpaste boxes inside. At least they were reused and aren’t taking up space in some landfill somewhere,

When a seed begins to sprout inside of a piece of fruit it’s called vivipary. While cool, at the very least, the best part is the person that found this particular piece of fruit can still eat it.

And here everyone thought that capsules were filled with powder. According to this picture, they are actually filled with other little pills.

Who would have thought that snap bracelets were made in this way? AT least it is a great way to use old tape measures.
