20 sweet cats posts that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside

People don’t think of cats as very affectionate animals, but that’s because we often compare them directly to dogs which are – let’s face it – indiscriminately affectionate.

Cats can be sweet, cuddly, and loving – at least when they want to be and when you treat them right.

Want proof? Here you go:

1. The geometry of kittens

All those little faces snuggled together makes us want to take home a whole family of kittens!

We bet they’re a little less wholesome when they’re awake, but that’s beside the point.

2. A mother’s love

Mamas are the same no matter the species.

They love their babies and keep them close to protect them from the great, big world.

3. Good deeds

Cats clearly feel something for the ferals that live outside their windows and doors.

We don’t know what it is (and maybe it can’t be put into human terms anyway), but they’ll often try to draw our attention that way so we can intervene.

4. Bed buddy

Ok, so sometimes it’s a real pain to share your bed with a cat (or any pet for that matter). But we still do it.

And this is why.

My cat learned that the alarm sound means I wake up, and she snuggles on my chest right after. I’ve been setting my alarm 30 minutes early every day to give her more happy time. from r/aww

5. Snuggle bug

And it takes commitment! So we’re heartened (and a little jealous) to see this incredible, successful weight loss journey!

Mister Weez was always my big chonk. After a year of diet and exercise, he’s now my small/medium chonk.

9. Cone of no shame

Well, that’s one adorable way to get back at dad for taking you to the vet!

But being inside the cone with that little face would have us doling out ALL the kisses.

Cats and dogs don’t have to be enemies. In fact, they can be best friends just like these two.

13. Going somewhere?

Sure, cats will sit in just about any open container, but this looks like a group protest against a human’s travel plans.
