The plastic surgery world has been swept with unrealistic beauty obsessions. As men and women try to meet society’s body expectations it’s caused many to go under the knife and needle. Tinier waists, bigger butts, and chests are longed for in our society but so is body positivity. People have been speaking out against society’s impractical expectations and choosing to love their bodies for exactly what they are.

But some still crave the things they just couldn’t ever have like 22-year-old Andrea Ivanova from Bulgaria.

Her ultimate goal was to look like a real-life Barbie doll and she’d do whatever it takes to make that happen. So she started in 2018 getting lip filler injections and has been addicted ever since. The turn out isn’t exactly what we’d picture our Barbie dolls as…

Andrea’s dream look isn’t that cheap either with each procedure being £134 which is about $170 each injection.

But Andrea is in love with her new face saying,

“I like my new lips a lot, it was hard to eat after the injection and two to three days after the procedure gets more difficult. I think my lips are lovely, I love them. I am not sure if they are the biggest lips in the world but they are one of the biggest, I think.”

In 2019 it was reported that Andrea underwent 15 lip injections in just one year.

She has now quadrupled the size of her natural lip and recently got her 20th round of lip filler injections but she’s not stopping there.

Andrea also went on to say,

“I had my latest injection two days ago. I feel great to have even more but some doctors think it’s enough, though I still want them bigger. My doctor said he will do more injections for me but said I have to wait for at least two months”

Although Andrea is obsessed with her new look other’s have different feelings towards her “Bulgarian Barbie” look.

People have commented on YouTube sharing their thoughts as loveinspired7 said,

“This woman is obviously suffering from a SERIOUS case of “body dysmorphia”, and her doctors don’t seem to care at all because they are gladly taking her money. Whoever her doctor is, he/she took an oath to “DO NO HARM”…they broke that oath when they chose to take the money rather than take responsibility for her health.”

These photos can be a bit disturbing but the reality is extremely real and an example of doctors misusing their power.

Some may say “bigger is better” but it doesn’t look too comfortable and her before and after pictures are truly shocking. There’s no doubting Andrea’s addiction could very well be harmful and link to a serious mental illness. Hopefully, Andrea can get the help she doesn’t know she needs before she decides to get any more injections…
