3-week-old foal hears cheering walking beside mama in ring then quickly steals the show
Horses are beautiful creatures.
So majestic that they are the only animals used to carry mighty soldiers and even royalty.
Their beauty also varies because they come in countless breeds that originate from different countries all over the world.
One of these breeds is the āHaflingerā.
According to Wikipedia, āThe Haflinger, also known as the Avelignese, is a breed of horse developed in Austria and northern Italy (namely Hafling in South Tyrol region) during the late 19th century. Haflinger horses are relatively small, are always chestnut with flaxen mane and tail, have distinctive gaits described as energetic but smooth, and are well-muscled yet elegant.ā
I couldnāt agree more with the way theyāre described ā āenergetic but smooth, and are well-muscled yet elegant.ā
Thatās exactly what this duo of a mother horse and her foal showed to a crowd during the Philadelphia Horse World Expo.
They were a parade of beauty.
A 21-day-old foal named Blitz and his mother were set to march and show off their beautiful breed of Haflingers to a wave of a live audience.
Guided by their rider inside the arena, the stunning mother horse trailed forward.
She looked so magnificent and beautiful.
Prancing alongside her was her foal.
During the parade, Blitz was displaying the usual behavior of a kid.
Bouncing around and not minding the routine, he had no idea how to behave during such an event.
Surprisingly, the crowd loved it and even showered the little horse with some loud cheers and rounds of applause.
Thatās when Blitz stole the show.
As young as he was or perhaps, through the power of an adrenaline rush, Blitz continued to gallop around looking like he was trying to show off his raw skill to the audience.
Because of so much excitement, he even forgot to stay on track after jumping off of the line away from his mama and their rider.
More entertainment was in store.
He jumped and hopped like it was his first time to be out in an open field, let alone being surrounded by people who were equally excited as him.
At one point in the event, Blitz stood still somewhere in the middle while staring at the entertained crowd.
Itās as if he was saying, āIs this the real world? What are these creatures called? Are they cheering for me?ā
While it wasnāt certain if it was the first time the crowd saw something candid during a Horse World Expo, whatās sure is they loved every second of Blitzās appearance.
A little boy indeed.
Blitz is no different from a young human boy, both are playful and packed with lots of energy.
The audience obviously loved him.
Even after going out of character during the event.
The rider was also commendable for not going after him. One strict rule during the Parade of Breeds is that riders arenāt allowed to roughly handle any of the horses.
The rider perhaps knew that Blitz was just letting loose and thatās why he was bouncing all over the place.
Regardless, their live audience as well as the 7.1 million people who saw the video online were obviously entertained.
