The tale as old as time must be kids arguing with their parents. It can make for some pretty hilarious videos and experiences as youngsters go up to bat against their authority.

Usually, this reaches a peak period during the teenage years of a kid’s life. As a teenager, you are expected to “spread your wings” and make mistakes along the way. What is even more hilarious is when a little kid goes up to bat against their parents. This little girl does just that!

Grace is a four-year-old with some attitude!

Dads across the world dread one of the most feared days in a father’s life. The boy talk. Every parent at some point has to go through this phase of parenthood where they have to talk about the idea of their child dating. This is essentially a right of passage for many parents and a steppingstone to adulthood! What happens when that talk comes a bit early?

Most parents expect to have that talk with their teenagers. This dad is about to have it a bit earlier!

While many dads can count on their thirteen-year-olds asking about boys, what do they do when their four-year-old does it! This hilarious video documents the reaction that a dad has to his daughter asking to have a boyfriend at four years old!

BUT I WANT A BOYFRIEND

Joe Tierney and his daughter Grace are driving in their car to some destination. That’s when the conversation began! Thankfully, Joe recorded the entire thing, probably as evidence for when he follows through on his actions!

Grace starts the conversation telling her dad that she wants a boyfriend.

There is something even funnier about Joe’s Scottish accent as he responds to Grace with a smile on his face.

“Daddy will break his legs,”

The way that joe says this is with just the faintest hint of a smirk, keeping the laughs down so his daughter will believe him.

Grace is not down for the count, however!

Grace is pretty young to want a boyfriend! She obviously has the spunk to fight for what she wants though!

“No! Dad!”

Grace is not amused by her dad’s humor.

“Dad, listen. I want a boyfriend, I’m getting a boyfriend,” says Grace.

Joe makes his point clear about his plans for his daughter.

With all the sincerity that Joe can muster, he tells his daughter that she is going to become a nun and won’t ever be able to have a boyfriend! This was probably the worst news ever for Grace! Joe told her:

“You’re not getting a boyfriend. You are going to be a nun. You are going to be a nun! You are going to work for Jesus,”

Adding extra dramatic effect, Joe even pulled out his cross necklace to show Grace and the camera! He was hoping Jesus would back him up here!

Joe has the final say in the matter, but we know that this isn’t the end of the conversation!

Any parent knows that this is just the beginning! Joe definitely has the final word currently but with a headstrong little girl like Grace, things are going to get funnier as time goes on! Who can blame Joe? He is just a dad who wants what’s best for his little girl.
