4-year-old duo performs adorable dance to song from “Grease” and wins everyone’s heart

The Kids Artistic Revue (KAR) Dance Competitions take place dozens of times a year in cities around the country so kids can show off their amazing dance skills and get encouragement and instruction from world-renowned dancers and choreographers.

According to the KAR website, the organization is now in its 38th year, and “is more than a dance competition.”

“Our unique environment affords the opportunity to showcase the mental and physical discipline that it takes to be a dancer. Our main goal is to foster a team-building experience both on and off stage, while promoting the extraordinary confidence it takes to be a performer.”

In March of 2017, two little dancers in the 4 & under category took first place at KAR with a rousing routine to the classic song “You’re the One That I Want,” from the musical Grease.

Everleigh Rose Soutas and Diesel Rojas had been practicing this routine for some time and this performance was their third competition using the choreography (which, incidentally, was the work of Rojas’ mom, Tiffany Burton Rojas, from The Rage Performing Arts Complex in Granada Hills, CA).

With over 11 million views since it was posted, you know this performance is something special!

The good news is that they are very much 4 years old and the fast-paced music keeps them bopping around the stage in a cute and kid-like way (despite the Spandex and leather jacket).

And they have a few tricks up their sleeves too – some splits, spins, lifts, and slides that prove they’ve been working hard at those dance lessons!

While the duo came in first in their age category, they also finished second in the 8 & under group, according to the YouTube caption.

That’s a big deal for two 4-year-olds!

After their Grease performance, we see Soutos show off her moves while Rojas goes off stage to get the ultimate prop – a tiny motorcycle!

Now the music switches to Michelle Pfeiffer’s rendition of “Cool Rider.”

Rojas gets a few moments of his own on stage to rock out to yet another song from Grease, the beloved “Greased Lightening,” where he does his best John Travolta impression.

This cutie has some major moves – and of course, the cool wheels don’t hurt either!

When his partner joins him back on stage, Sha Na Na’s “Born to Hand Jive” (also from Grease) comes on and the two do their best to get those fast hand movements in unison.

Is it flawless? No. But they’re 4!

After striking some killer poses, the two embrace at the end of their routine and the show is over.

Both dancers look relieved to have given their best show yet.

And these two don’t just exit the stage by walking off – the duo climbs aboard Rojas’ awesome kiddie motorcycle and drive off into the sunset.

Because the kids are so young and YouTube is trying to crack down on inappropriate comments and bullying on its platform, the comments are closed on this video (though mom might have just turned them off as well). But we know that if viewers had chimed in they would have had lots of kind words for the dynamic dancing duo.
