5 Gorgeous Old Doilies That Remind Us Of Grandma Crocheting
These antique, vintage, and retro looking crochet projects are so beautiful, and they definitely give off a nostalgic feeling. So many of us have fond memories of our mothers/grandmothers crocheting these beautiful works of art and, for those of us lucky enough to still have one, they are precious family keepsakes. Check out some of our favorite, user-submitted photos, and share any vintage/antique crochet you might have!
Marion LeBleu I collect & sell these. I know some of mine are almost over 100 yrs old.
Gayle Bowlin Terry: I didnât know if it was vintage or not but I thought it was so pretty even though it was stained and thrown in a cardboard box at a thrift shop along with other stained and tattered items. I wasnât sure I could get the stains out but it reminded me of a precious family friend named Pansy who died at the beginning of this year so I bought it for 25 cents and laundered it and now I treasure it and memories of the sweet lady it brings to my mind every time I see it.
Ruth Rennhack: This is the pineapple tablecloth I made for my son back in the 80âs. Also made the wedding ring and another one for my two daughters. I did a lot of crocheting of this sort.
Terry Morgan Morr: A very beautiful old hand crocheted doily, it looks like 4 separate ones but it is just one large doily
Karen Darden: A doily I crocheted from an âantiqueâ pattern. Upload is easy!
