Some stories we need to see to believe. Thankfully, this nearly unbelievable story has a video to prove it! Who knew that this five-year-old knew how to drive a car!

Some kids like bugs and others like cars…

When we are kids we usually tie our focus to our favorite things. As kids, it is usually something attention-grabbing like fire-trucks or dinosaurs. Trooper Rich Morgan was about to learn that what this five-year-olds favorite thing was…driving!

Trooper Morgan was driving his normal route when he noticed something unique happening on the highway.

One of our Troopers in Weber Co. initiated a traffic stop on what he thought was an impaired driver. Turns out it was this young man, age 5, somehow made his way up onto the freeway in his parents' car. As Morgan pulled up behind an SUV that was on the highway, he realized that the car was swerving rather suddenly across lanes. As any good officer would, Morgan realized that an impaired driver must be behind the wheel.

Putting on his lights, Morgan signaled the car to pull over on the shoulder.

The SUV noticed Officer Morgan and pulled over to the left side of a busy highway. What the dashcam footage captured next is something crazy!

Morgan got out of his car and went to the driver’s side window, only to find a kid!

Adrian, a five-year-old boy, was behind the wheel of the SUV that Trooper Morgan pulled over! Morgan was stunned speechless as he realized that this was no impaired driver, it was a child one!

“You’re five years old? Wow,” Morgan continues in the video. “Where did you learn to drive a car?”

Upon questioning, more was revealed about the crazy situation.

Adrian had an argument with his mother at home before she went to work. The boy had wanted a Lamborghini and his mom had told him that they weren’t going to be buying one!

When his mom left for work, his older sister was in charge.

After a few hours, his sister decided to lay down for a nap. That’s when Adrian went a grabbed the keys, hopped in the car, and took off! What would have caused him to do such a thing?

After questioning, Adrian revealed his motivation.

Grabbing $3 from his room, he was on his way to California to buy the new Lamborghini that he always wanted!

“He left home after an argument with Mom, in which she told him she would not buy him a Lamborghini,” the tweet reads. “He decided he’d take the car and go to California to buy one himself.”

It is a miracle that nobody was hurt.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt during the entire ordeal. When asked how he knew how to drive a car, nobody had answers! He had never driven before and just picked it up on the fly! Sitting on the edge of the seat, he used the tip of his toes to press the brake and gas.

A wild story for future family dinners.

Some family stories about kids are pretty tame, but this families holiday gatherings are sure to bring this incredible story up! I guess the next step is for Adrain to get his permit when he turns ten!
