The memories from our childhood are huge parts of who we are today. Since there were no digital cameras back then, photographs were typically taken on special occasions. Some of us don’t have too many photos to look back on, unlike today where people have huge amounts of data storage full of their selfies and group photos.

Back in the day, taking photos was not an everyday event and so, we always made sure that we only took photos of milestones and memorable experiences.

There are some photos of us from our parents collection as kids that are just too good to pass up. As a result, why not try to recreate them? Here are 60 people who took their old school photos to a new level by recreating them once again as adults. The outcome is hilarious!

This photo of five brothers from 1997 was recreated in 2017. The past 20 years have definitely changed these boys so much!

These siblings have recreated their photo from 25 years earlier as a gift to their parents’ anniversary. They may have grown older but their faces from when they were children can still be seen in their features now that they are adults.

If someone told me that the boy in the old photo is also the man with the tattoos and piercings, I would certainly not believe them! However, if we try to look carefully and truly study the man’s features we can see that they still look alike.

This father and son recreated a tender moment from many years back showing the sleepy Dad as he carries his little boy. His son may be too big for him to carry now, but he’s never too old for a loving embrace.

This father had this hilarious photo of him as he bathed his baby boy in the sink from more than a decade ago. Now that his baby is as big as he is, they decided to re-enact the funny moment and I must say that they totally nailed it or even better!

6. Best friends for two decades

After 20 years of being best friends, these girls still find each other as their confidant and forever best buddy. Their recreated photo took every detail into consideration. Even their shoes are almost the same as 20 years ago!

Even when they were still young, the guy with glasses has always been the funny one while his best friend always refused to smile. This recreation of their childhood photo is totally on point and though their personalities still differ, this difference only make them the best compliment for each other.

8. Friends from toddler years to college years

These two friends met at the beach for the first time while they were still toddlers. Now that they are in college, both of them go to the same school and are still very best of friends.

17 years ago, this young man was his Mom’s little helper in the kitchen. He was too tiny that he could even fit inside a food bowl. Now that he is all grown up, that same food bowl isn’t enough to fit his tall frame in.

This man went to this courtroom 14 years ago together with his classmates to take a tour. More than a decade later, he returns to the same court and finished his internship with the judge! His old photo was definitely a glimpse of the man’s future.

The old photo must have been a made-up one, because who drinks at such a young age? Let’s just hope the recreated photo is also a made-up one.

32. Sibling love

Seeing siblings show love for each other is something that parents are always happy about. The original photo of two kids holding their newborn brother was from 29 years ago. The recreation photo looks really hilarious, on the other hand, but it also still reflects that these siblings remain glued together in heart and soul.

The first photo was taken 42 years earlier than the second. The father can’t carry his son anymore, but that hug shows how deeply connected they will always be as father and son.

When this couple found out that both of them love the ninja turtles since pre-school, they wasted no time at all. They knew what they had to do and that is to recreate their photos wearing their mutant ninja turtles gear.

They say twins have rather special connection than those who only have regular sisters and brothers. It’s just amazing that after more than 80 years, this grandma and her twin still choose to go outside and enjoy the day.

The two photos were far apart by 20 years and yet, the incredible image of this family totally amazes me. They not only nailed the clothing, but also the feeling of oneness that a family should exude.

Some people have tried scanning their facing on a photocopying machine just to see how the printed result would look like. This mother and her son once did this thing and ended up with a black and white image of their faces. Now, years later, they also attempted to do the same and recreated their old photo. One dad felt like his daughter’s frown looked really familiar so he went through their family albums. At that moment, he realized that her daughter frowns the same way as her mom when she was just a little kid!

The years won’t even matter if you are a certified Cheerios addict. This woman loved her Cheerios when she was a young girl and still finds that Cheerios are the best now that she is an adult! She even sits at the same table when eating her Cheerios.

As a child, this man always slept in really weird positions and his parents would take pictures of him as he slept. Now that he is an adult, he may not be doing these weird sleeping positions anymore but he certainly knows how to recreate the old photo!

17 years before, these 8 siblings sat by each other in a beautiful garden and showed that their heights are in an upward direction. Now that they are all grown up, they seem to be as tall as each other, thus creating almost a straight line in their recreated photo.

49. 22 years and they still look adorable together

The first photo was that of the girl carrying her little brother, a hint of smile in her eyes showing. In her recreated photo though, she was not smiling at all. Was it because her brother is now way heavier than before?

50. Supportive sister

This guy’s sister never faltered in her support for 24 years now. She was there to support him in his preschool graduation and she was also present in his medical school graduation. She’s a very supportive sister and everybody needs one like her.

Years go by swiftly and before we know it, we are no longer kids and we can’t do the things that we used to do when we were young. As adults, we are expected to make wiser decisions and better choices. However, that does not mean we can forget about the happy moments that we felt when we were still children!

Seeing these hilarious and endearing photos recreating fun childhood memories only show that no matter how old you are, the child in you will always be inside you and sometimes, you simply have to let it out, even just for a while.
