5th-grade boys line up for talent show performance that won't be forgotten anytime soon

This group of 5th graders absolutely did not hold back for their talent show, and honestly, that’s never a bad thing.

You probably don’t need us to remind you how nerve-wracking talent shows can be. It’s actually not so bad once you perform in front of the actual crowd. Really, it’s the anticipation before you perform that gets most people.

These 7 boys decided they weren’t going to let that stop them. The show must go on!

Being silly is way more fun with your squad backing you up. Being together probably made them less nervous. The group consists of Jackson’s Elementary students Jenkins, Cole, Liam, Skyler, Tias, Cale and Dennon. Of course, they wore skirts too.

Leading the song list to their routine was “All I Do Is Win”, by DJ Khaled. It seems totally normal so far, right? The crowd seems warmed up already, and they were just getting started.

Winning is definitely all these boys are gonna be doing today.

Once the banging track by DJ Khaled stops, we hear it transition to an intro with an all-too-recognizable beat. A track you may know as…oh yeah, “Single Ladies” by Beyonce Knowles. And the boys knew how to channel their inner Queen B. Once they started busting the iconic steps to the song, the previously warmed up crowd was now on fire.

They had more surprises in store for their audience, though. After finishing with their little Beyonce tribute, they immediately switch their routine to match the next song on their playlist. Miley’s “Party in the USA” begins, and the boys all appropriately put their hands up while playing their song.

Unlike the butterflies in Miley’s song though, this crowd isn’t flying away from this performance anytime soon.

The folks in seats lose it when the boys started moving their hips like “yeah”. They end the song with a good old roller-coaster formation. At this point, the crowd has caught on and knows that this is a mashup performance. What song’s coming up next? What else do these boys have up their sleeve?

“Lean and Dab” by IHeartMemphis plays next, and they didn’t hesitate to hit their dabs. It’s not a gen z performance without some dabbing. The squad leans and dabs for a whole minute, and one of the boys is so committed to the show that he even mouths along to the lyrics.

For song number 5, they decided to include some Meghan Trainor. The crowd instantly recognizes the intro to Meghan Trainor’s “No”, and the boys instantly switch their routine again. It starts slow but then laughs erupt from the audience when the ballet dancing starts.

Clearly, these boys wanted to deliver nothing less than amazing.

But “Lean and Dab” wasn’t the only meme-culture song they included. Up next was “My Boo” by Ghost Town DJ’s, which you may remember from the viral trend “The running man challenge”. The boy in the center is absolutely feeling it.

But with limited time, they now need to wrap things up. What song would be appropriate enough to bid the crowd goodbye? NCYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” of course. The only acceptable choice. Closing up the performance with one of NSYNC’s biggest hits, these boys really ended the act on a high note.

And a round of applause from the crowd! Was there ever any doubt?

The crowd loves them. We do too, even watching from just our computer screens at home.

With over 4 million views on YouTube, these boys got their much deserved moment even after it ended. If they weren’t popular in school already, they probably were now.

Watch their performance in the video below. It might just make your day!
