You only need six ingredients and a bowl to make this delicious snowball dessert
The festive season brings along some family time we all love, and sparkly decorations certainly boost the mood. Moreover, delicious smells spread homes around the country as everyone gets ready for delicious food.
Of course, there are always people who don’t excel at the art of cooking, so they’d rather avoid it.
But listen up, amateur chefs! Because this recipe is definitely for you.
Take six ingredients that you’ve probably got lying around the kitchen and mix them in a bowl.
That’s it.
That’s completely it.
But rest assured that the result is enough to please even the pickiest critic
Pecan Balls are known by a lot of different names, including Snow Balls or Mexican Wedding Cookies
The best thing about Pecan Balls (aside from their taste though) is that anyone can make the recipe.
You’ll need 1 cup all-purpose flour and 1 cup of chopped, toasted pecans.
Also, grab half a cup of softened butter. Make sure that the butter has spent some time at room temperature. You’ll understand why when you start mixing all ingredients. Finally, take 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract.
Add all ingredients to a bowl at once and start mixing.

As Jenny, the cook in the video, says you should be mixing until it’s “mushy” and starts sticking together.”
Afterward, you’ll have a dough that needs to be refrigerated for about half an hour.
Trust me. It’s much easier to roll it after it’s spent some time in the fridge.
Don’t worry if it kind of looks like a mess! Looks aren’t everything!
Simply wrap the dough in plastic, put it in the fridge, and wait.
While you’re waiting for the dough to cool, it’s the perfect time to preheat the oven.
Put some parchment paper on a baking sheet and shape the dough into small balls
Spread the balls around. You should be able to make two dozen snowballs with the recipe above.
You can put them close together, they aren’t going to spread to another or stick to each other. Bake them for 15 minutes, and then we put on the powdered sugar.
When baked, snowballs should look set, but not browned, and make sure to let them sit on the sheet for about a minute or so after removing them from the oven.
After they come out of the heat, the snowballs can be pretty fragile.
That’s why you should let them cool for a couple of minutes. Then you’ll start to roll them in powdered sugar.
Remember, snowballs are not going to collect very much sugar the first time, so you’ll need to roll them in the sugar twice.
