A lot of us believe that heroes should make grand gestures or do something that will benefit the world. We believe these heroes are usually the ones who are in a position of power.
Yes, there are heroes like that.
But there are also heroes who do great things for their families, their neighbors or the people around them. They are the modern-day heroes and they walk among us.

1. Quick reflexes
While everyone ducked away and this poor kid had no idea what was going on, this man quickly stretched his arm out to save him. Quick reflexes, dad! They’re definitely saving a lot of money not going to the ER for injuries.
2. Do you need help?
This young man was trying to tie his neck tie over and over again and kept failing. This female passenger finally asked him if he needed help. He finally had the perfect look.
3. Heroes also have four legs
His dog was so tired and sleepy. But when he got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, his dog still followed him. What a good boy!
4. In everyday situation
Sometimes, heroes don’t have to do grand stuff. They can help with every day things, like this one. Whoever wrote this just helped another person (maybe more than one) save their money and not make the biggest mistake of their life.
5. Dog carer
This woman lives in Bolivia. And every day, she goes to the local park so she can feed all these stray dogs. We need more people like her!

It says a lot about a person who cares about others beside himself. And this person doesn’t just care about other people but objects as well. And he doesn’t care what other people think of him.

In Nara, Japan, seeing deers on the city streets are a common occurrence. What is not common though is people offering shelter to them. This kid is clearly not one of them as he offers his umbrella to one of the deers.

Grandpas are usually heroes to all of their grandchildren. But this grandpa is also a hero to this little puppy, who was frightened at the sound of the smoke alarm.

It’s nice to know that total strangers are looking out for you and your appetite. And that some people will make the sacrifice and test if it’s working or not. Salute to them.

Before a two-year-old girl’s surgery, this cardiac surgeon knew just the thing to calm her down. They watched cartoons first together.

His sister made a sweater for her snake. The snake wriggled itself inside and cozied itself before popping its head out. Whoa.

That’s a 50″ LCD TV. That’s not cheap. And he’s got it strapped to himself at the back of his motorcycle. This motorist is brave. But the person who ordered is even braver for agreeing to this. Or maybe they don’t know it’s being delivered by a motorcycle. Is there even a TV in there?
14. Birthday away from family? No problem!
It’s his birthday away from his family. He thought he had no one to celebrate it with. He thought wrong. He’s got a different kind of family around him who want to make his day.

15. Grandpa’s protection

17. Driving around
He’s been driving for 20 years to get them to school safely. He’s been doing it without complaint every day. But they’re graduating now so he can retire. It’s been a pleasure.

18. She needed a boost

This professor feeds his students breakfast before a morning exam. He knows the advantage of having a full stomach before slaving away at an exam. Now, they’ll be able to answer the questions with a clear mind.

21. Christmas tree with gifts
An elderly man gives out gifts every day. He leaves clothing, shoes, and other useful items to the people who need it. They can just grab what they need from the tree.
22. Rescue dog train
This elderly man built a train to bring these rescue dogs on an adventure. And the dogs love it! Every time they hear the train coming, they get all excited! So adorable!
23. Clean as you go
During this game, Japan scored a 94-minute goal. That’s more than an hour and 30 minutes for one goal. But when the game was over, the fans stayed and cleaned up. Amazing.
24. Brrawr!
It was so cold he gave his dog his jacket. It looks creepy from afar but so cute up close.
25. Training school valedictorian
He was probably his class’ valedictorian. That’s some mad skills!
26. Rescued owl
He found this owl on the side of the road, injured. He decided to take him in and give him a lift to the vet. The owl is most grateful.
27. No more tissue? No problem!
There was no more tissue in the toilet. But no problem. Someone left their tissue pack for the ones after her to use.
28. Helping hands
When you’re in the toilet and there’s no more tissue, it’s always good to know there’s someone who will help. Success!

It doesn’t matter if you’re human or a tiger. When you feel alone, it’s always nice to know there’s still someone with you.

She found this angel statue on her front yard, left by someone anonymously. Her guardian angel probably. She hasn’t smile like this since her husband was alive.

His dog threw up and he had to clean it up. His dog felt guilty and stayed to keep him company.

Someone finally put up a sign. Always check before sitting down. It’ll make your life so much smoother.
35. Flute duet
The man on the chair plays the flute for money in Ireland. One day, the man crouching down took out of his flute from his pocket and played with him. The older man earned a lot of money that day.
36. For the homeless
This is in Canada. When they finish off their canned drinks, they don’t throw them inside the trash can. They line them up like this so the homeless don’t have to dig through the trash to get it.
37. Nice photo
His girlfriend wanted to have a nice photo together. So they took a piggyback photo. A biker guy saw them and said he wanted one, too. Wish granted.
38. The elephant in the room
He had left chocolate in the room for the housekeeping attendant. When he came back, this is what he got on top of his bed.
39. He wanted toilet paper and this is what he got
He needed toilet paper so he asked his wife for some. The wife didn’t want to go so she asked someone else to do it instead.

She ordered 10 piece nuggets, which comes with a limited number of bbq sauce. She didn’t ask for extra. They gave her some anyway.

Before he goes to school, this 10-year-old kid helps this blind deer find food. He patiently takes the deer to a good grass patch so the deer can eat before he leaves.
42. New bed
They bought her a new bed. Judging from her look and comfort, she loves it.

Learning is vital. That’s why they need to turn the computer more to the left so the other person can see, too.
44. Water rescue
It was extremely hot that day. Instead of selling their customers water, this shop decided to give away free cold water to anyone who needed it.
45. Special delivery
Cubs’ player Addison Russell dove into the stands after a ball and this guy lost his nachos in the process. Russell felt bad and bought the guy a new batch and delivered it himself.

46. What every party needs

This was found in the ladies’ room at a bar. Definitely a big help just in case.

She just wanted to pet the cat. But the cat knows when they’ve met the one. Now, the cat’s got a home.

This guy didn’t have a right hand and his followers knew that. One day, he received a package from one of his followers. Inside were all left hand gloves and a nice card.

His uncle had a little dog and couldn’t climb the stairs. So he built little steps on the stairs for him.

He wanted to help this guy out. So he brought out a ladder that the raccoon can use to climb.

He needed to buy pads for his granddaughter. He was clueless about it. Good thing this lady stepped in to help him out.

He had a lot of old tennis balls. His local pound housed a lot of dogs. It seemed logical where he was going to donate his old tennis balls.

Everybody has a story to tell. This guy hung up all this paper so people could write their story.

60. Waiting out the rain
Street dogs and people come together to wait out the rain in Turkey. No one cares and no one bothers each other.
61. Valid pass
They just passed each other on the elevators. He was going to the trains and the other was moving away from the trains. The other guy gave him this valid pass for the trains.
62. Mail for Pippa
Pippa always comes out for the daily delivery. It doesn’t matter if there’s mail or not for the house. There will always be mail for Pippa.
63. Custom railing
He needed to build a railing to protect the tree but the roots are in the way. The solution? He customized the railing to work around the roots.
64. Rare blood
James Harrison has a rare antibody in his bloodstream that is used to make a medication called AntiD. This is used for babies who have different blood types from their mothers so they could live. James has donated his blood for this medication for 1,173 times since he found out about his condition in 1957. His blood has saved millions of babies.
65. Save them
Suzanne was already 90 when she was admitted into the hospital because of covid-19 complications. Before they could put her on a respirator, she refused and told the nurses to give the respirator to a younger patient since she’s already lived a beautiful life.
