Ok, let’s just get this out of the way, Randy Adams did NOT look like she was pushing 70 years old, even before her makeover.

While people now come from all over the world to visit Christopher Hopkins’ (aka The Makeover Guy) appearance studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Adams is an in-state customer. And while she certainly looks young and vibrant for her age, her dramatic, decade-defying makeover has earned over 100,000 views in just a few short weeks.

Hopkins specialized in makeovers for men and women over the age of 40 and bringing out the best of everyone’s natural beauty – and while nearly all of his videos are a home run, this one is really special.

Adams chose Hopkins because she had seen him on TV in the past and had always thought about how fun a makeover would be. Now that’s she’s retired and celebrating a birthday, she made time to finally treat herself.

“I’m just excited to have a big change” she said before we see the “after” photo early on in the video.

And while her hair and makeup were perfectly serviceable to begin with and she looks healthy and happy, there’s no harm in punching up some of her best traits.

“I’ve always searched for that perfect hairstyle that would really work for me,” she said.

So the first thing they tackled was hair.

Adams went from strawberry blonde with a silver streak to a beautiful golden blonde – and she was thrilled!

“This is so great!” she exclaimed while playing with her hair.

She had some length taken off as well with layers added for extra volume in the back as well as to frame her face.

Meanwhile, her beautiful smile is exactly the same both before and after, though she got a great makeup tutorial along the way.

Suddenly, she has one of the most important face-framing features to really define her face – eyebrows! Adams’ brows were so light before you could hardly see them, but giving them a bit of a fill made a huge difference in drawing attention to her eyes.

Not much needed to be done to even out her skin tone. Perhaps all that Minnesota weather can be credited with keeping her away from the sun. Her skin truly is impeccable!

There is definitely some contouring going on through, as you can see in her newly rosy cheeks. Her cheekbones and nose are far more well-defined – and since she has a fairly neutral lipstick on, the attention goes right to the top of her face.

But eye makeup is what truly made the makeover a success.

Aside from getting her brows done, she’s had some major mascara (or perhaps subtle false lashes) added along with some eyeliner along her top lids. Her eyes truly pop and sparkle now.

And it appears she sprung for the full head-to-toe makeover, which comes with a style lesson. Her clothing goes from ubiquitous Minnesota vest-focused to a bright and bold pattern to add some more fun to her whole look.

Ever the performer, Hopkins actually sat down with his client at the piano as they did a quick duet to finish things off!

“Her before and after look like mother and daughter,” said one commenter – and we agree!

While Adams never looked like she was on the cusp of 70, she looks at least a decade younger than she did before.

And while looking younger isn’t everything, the whole process sure did put a smile on her face.
