Twins have party for their 80th birthday but 103-year-old mother is real guest of honor
Every time we celebrate our birthdays, we always wish for more birthdays to come our way.
Age may be a sore topic for some, but we have to admit that aging older and having more birthdays is a blessing from God.
The mystery of life is the part where we don’t know when it ends, so we try to make each day count.
Some people reach past the age of 80 years old, while there are some who pass away earlier than expected.
One pair of twins is fortunate enough that they reached 80 years old and both of them were together when they celebrated their birthday.
David Mosher and his twin Winnie Mosher Merrill live in Brunswick, Maine.
They consider themselves very lucky to be able to celebrate their 80th birthday together.
They have been in their hometown for such a long time, and the place holds a lot of dear memories that they love to reminisce about together, as they blow their candles on their birthday cakes.
Aside from their age, this pair of twins is also thankful for something else.
David and Winnie have been blessed with eight decades of a life filled with love, challenges, and happy memories that they spent together.
The fact that they get to celebrate their 80th birthday with their 103-year-old mother by their side is another major blessing that these two are deeply grateful for.
Helen Mosher was only 23 years old when she delivered her twins.
She was very young, but she was also a determined mother who would do everything for her beloved children.
Not everyone is blessed with this opportunity.
At 103 years old, Helen is definitely fortunate to be strong enough to celebrate her 80-year-old twins’ birthday.
She was the party’s guest of honor and people are just awed at this incredible story wherein the family is still intact even after such a long time.
It was a surreal moment when the twins, who were in their matching red sweaters, stood next to their beloved mom, to take a picture and enjoy their food and cake prepared for the special moment.
Before the feast, Helen prayed not only for her family but also praying for the country.
The family matriarch may be more than a century old, but she is one strong woman.
Helen’s smile is encouraging and her beauty is timeless.
David and Winnie may be 20 years shy of a century, but they, too, look younger than their age.
Their smiles are beautiful and they absolutely looked energetic and lively.
The guests were merry as they sang the “Happy Birthday” song to the twins with their mother singing along with them.
Helen is known for her love for baseball, which probably influenced her children as well.
Winnie even married a former Yankee manager named Stump Merrill, effectively making baseball a huge part of their family.
Over the years, the family grew and is now composed of 76 descendants after her children David, Winnie, and Richard.
The twin’s birthday was definitely a highlight in Helen’s life, and it was amazing that she got to celebrate it with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Helen passed away with no regrets.
Less than a year later, the Mosher family’s matriarch passed away, but her long and colorful life is something that did not include regret in the end.
She finally followed suit after her late husband, Charles Mosher, with whom she spent 64 years of marriage.
