9-year-old boy opens up about brother being adopted without him in plea to find family

It really is heartbreaking news to know that no one is willing to have you as part of their family, especially for a foster kid.

Meet Jordan, a 9-year-old boy who is looking for family.

He spent six years in foster care.

He currently lives in a group home and looks forward to having a family whom he can rely on in the future.

“I would just like to have a family to call mom and dad, or just mom, or just dad. I don’t really care,” said Jordan when asked what he wished for.

His greatest desire is to have a family to whom he can talk whenever he wants.

After all, who would not want to have loving parents that care for you at the end of the day?

His journey in finding adoptive parents had not been easy, which is also why he had to move around in different foster care facilities.

The Oklahoma boy was in desperate need to search for a family that he could call ‘home,’ which he shared during one of his interviews.

The footage has reached across the country.

Jordan’s plea for a family has touched the heart of many people, which led to numerous calls received from different places like Florida, New Jersey, and Illinois.

Jordan received 5,000 answers.

In just a couple of days, his permanency planning worker received over 5,000 submissions. He knew he had a lot of work to do but was very happy for Jordan.

Christopher Marlowe, Jordan’s Permanency Planning Worker, has already reached out to other staff to help in sorting out all documents and family profiles.

He has high hopes that, given the large number of people who expressed their interest in adoption, Jordan would finally have a family of his own.

The social worker looks forward to giving him a home he has longed for many years. Don’t we all wish for a happy ending for Jordan?

Jordan has a brother.

He was already adopted, which is why they had to be separated from each other.

Many people were sad to know that his brother Braison had already found a foster family, which resulted in him being alone in foster care.

According to Marlowe, they are doing things to reconnect the siblings.

Braison’s adoptive family was willing to cooperate with the plan if things worked well on Jordan’s end.

Jordan is not alone in his plight.

Among thousands of Oklahoma children in foster care, there are only around 500 who are already set for adoption.

It is kinda sad to know that despite numerous people expressing their interest in adopting, only a few of them decides to move on with the process after the disclosure.

This situation is also why Jordan has been in the system for quite a long time already.

Despite his tragic circumstance, this time, we hope that things will be better for Jordan.

The state has received numerous calls, and we all hope this will change his situation to make his dream come true.
