Woman turns 100 and celebrates with her two older sisters who share their secret to long life

Do you still catch up with your siblings?

Last November 11, Frances Kompus recently celebrated her 100th birthday. Yes, she’s a hundred years old!

Frances spent her birthday with her two older sisters, Julia Kopriva and Lucy Pochop, 104 and 102, respectively.

What we love about these ladies is their bond that is stronger than ever.

The birthday celebrant held the occasion at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located in Atwood, Kansas.

This church has been a big part of the sisters’ lives. They were baptized, confirmed, and even chose this church to get married. To celebrate her birthday, Frances chose this location with her sisters.

In the 1920s, a family lived on a farm in Beardsley, Kansas. There, Frances was raised with two equally beautiful sisters.

Can you imagine Frances and her sisters having memories of the days we only see in history books?

Frances remembered when she had to run just to keep up with her two older sisters. Being the youngest, Frances wanted to do everything her older sisters did.

Since they were all girls, they learned how to work on the farm. They were agile and very efficient with their tasks.

Aside from helping with their parents, the three girls also made memories.

According to sisters, even in the Great Depression, their family still managed to eat good food. They remember their mom, who used to cook chicken and even serve it with dried beans.

In fact, Frances said that one of their secrets to a long life is good food.

She also added that being social and just walking a lot has helped them to be strong and healthy.

True enough, good food and exercise will surely make you live longer and happier.

“I think faith comes first and thank your parents, grandparents,” Julia added.

Of course, who wouldn’t forget that?

Being grateful and having strong faith will help you live a long life, don’t you agree?

The sisters had gotten married, had kids, grandkids, and so much more, but one thing hasn’t changed – their closeness and love for one another.

Now that they are all widows, they decided to stay closer to each other by being neighbors.

This way, whenever they want to, they could check with each other and just spend the day together.

In one of their interviews, they remembered when they first got electricity in 1936, then everything became modern.

There were freezers, refrigerators, television, etc.

Can you imagine all the stories that they can share with us?

We could spend days and weeks listening to each story and allowing our minds to imagine what it was like to live like them.

We’re pretty amazed by how each of these ladies got to their age, still very strong and beautiful, but what really touched us is the bond that they have.

If you have the kind of love that these sisters share, you will surely enjoy a long and happy life.
