Owner tells dog the cat ate all the treats and over 200M love his hilarious response
How dare this guy get the bacon from the meat drawer?
If youâre hanging around the internet since 2011, chances are youâve stumbled upon a video of a talking dog. The dog in question has a âremarkable abilityâ of holding a conversation with an owner who was about to ruin his day.
The video uploaded on YouTube was titled âUltimate Dog Teaseâ. Ten years after it was first published, the video has left millions of people in stitches.
The conversation starts with an ominous hook.
The âownerâ shares to the dog that there was something he canât get off his mind â something heâs been meaning to tell his dog. He brings up something about the fridge and the âmeat drawerâ and it was more than enough to get the dogâs full attention.
âYes?â the dog whimpers in reply. Then the man began telling him what the drawer contained. It was bacon. But not just any bacon. It was of a specific kind. The kind that made the dog say âThe maple kind?â
With his desperate anticipation dialed to a full 100, the dog was beginning to string where the conversation was going. The man said he took the bacon out, which only meant one thing â he ate it.
The dogâs wailing rebuttal became an instant internet hit.
But of course, it wasnât really the dog whoâs doing all the talking. The man behind the short skit was Andrew Grantham. His most famous work, Clark the Talking Dog, catapulted him to internet success.

âI just picked it out and thought, âI want to play with this one today,â and within a couple of hours, that one was done,â he said to the news outlet.
After he uploaded it, the rest was history.
According to the Toronto Star, the video became viral right after it was published. It racked 20 million views in just two weeks.
Grantham who once worked as a website creator switched his career to voiceovers. The popularity of his dubbed videos became his calling card with people flocking to his channel. The news outlet also said that Grantham no longer searches for videos to dub because people are sending their videos to him.
âIf I find that Iâm laughing, then I know that Iâm getting somewhere.â He shared to the Toronto Star. âIf Iâm not laughing, then I know to keep working until I start laughing.â
People love his hilarious conversations.
âTen years ago today, I made this dog talk. Music videos aside, I believe it is the most viewed comedy production in any medium in the history of the world,â he said in an Instagram post alluding to Clark the Dog.
Even today, the video still manages to get new viewers who are also stopping by to tell him how much theyâre loving it. If itâs the lines, the expressions, or how both of these come together like a real conversation, weâll never know. All we know is at one point weâll revisit the video and just hit play.
